We were staying just a short walk from Kingdom Falconry and on this day had Eric and Shauna all to ourselves. It was a fascinating, up close and personal experience with several birds of prey, falcon, hawk, golden eagle, barn owl to name a few. We were well instructed on how to wear our leather gloves and signal for the birds to come to us. They were patient and answered all of our questions. We interacted with more birds than I thought we were going to, then were able to tour the other cages where they keep them. It truly was a once in a lifetime experience for us and so happy we could do this right there in Dingle! We have some amazing photos and slow motion videos as well.

This intact Oratory is just fascinating to see. So many things are ruins, but this is not. There are two parking areas, the first one you come to is larger, has bathrooms but is a longer walk. If you continue past this lot and follow the signs, you come to a much smaller area maybe big enough for 6 vehicles. This is where the smaller tour vans park and the oratory is a short walk up the path. Pulling out of this parking area is difficult however since the road is narrow and there is not much room. You have been warned about that There is no charge to enter.

A little piece of heaven on earth in the southwest of Ireland, but beware of the strong rip tide which deserves your fullest respect. The Angel who you see sitting on the rocks was just visiting so she will not be there to protect you on your visit.

We didn't expect much walking in on a whim? however after the tour my wife and I looked at each other and pretty much said "well worth it". The person doing the commentary on the Otters, Penguins and Shark tank was very good. the Butterfly area was one of the better ones I have been in. The fish and sea creatures they had in such a small aquarium (and small town) was impressive. Good Job Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium

This is the perfect hike for families! It's easy, and the views are simply stunning. It is a 2 euro entry fee. We went on a muddy morning, the trial is also covered in sheep poop, but then you come back down you can rinse your shoes with a hose and a brush. One of our fave walks we did in Dingle!

I was on my way to a pub that was packed, so I wondered by this church where I heard music playing and they let me in for free because the concert was almost over. I went upstairs to hear the most wonderful music in a beautiful setting....it was magical

I visited Kilmalkedar Church with my wife, kids (14, 11, 7yo), and parents (70s) on a cloudy, but pleasant June day. This activity was enjoyed by all parties, and I do recommend it as a fairly short (less than 1 hour) family-friendly stop.

The church at Kilmalkedar is a ruin, but there is a lot more there than meets the eye at first. There is a lot of carved detail here and there, making the visit a little like an Easter egg hunt. Enough remains of the building for the imagination to fill in the blanks, and really appreciate what this beautiful building must have been like in its heyday.

The church is situated within a cemetery that is filled with a wide variety of monuments from different times and in different styles. Many of the inscriptions are in the Irish language, and some are even fairly recent. In this way, the cemetery is a little like a time line showing the changes in burial monuments.

The situation around the church is also lovely, as it nestles in hills and looks down onto the sea. Overall, this even kept the interest of our youngest for 20-30 minutes, and so I think that it is a good family stop. There is enough to see to keep children busy, and the qualify edified the adults.

Very quick look at a castle. You can't get close to it, but it's beautiful to look at, and we got some great pictures.

The Irish Famine Cottages located here are a rustic memorial as a reminder of the tragedy of the famines. These cottages are becoming more rare in Ireland as many have been demolished due to lack of care and to make room for more modern structures. The main cottage here was built in the 1840's, it is an example of one of the earliest slated roofs on a cottage.

This is also a site of a small animal park, the animals were very friendly.

The land is privately owned so they charge a small fee for you to enter (3 euro?) to see the ruins of this circle fort and bee hive huts. There are a few locations of these along the drive. Thankfully, we had started our drive early in the morning and there were no bus loads of people. Interesting and worth a stop if it is not crowded.
