Excellent beaches with lots of changerooms, bathrooms, parking, beach space and usually calm waters. I liked Lakeshore beach the most. For people getting their 10K steps in, IMO its the longest and flattest, good for people that may have knee/ankle issues. Dunes is nice too, and has a boardwalk behind it for people looking to go for a few extra steps!

We come here at least 5 times a week with the dogs for a hike and them to swim. Nice trails and short cuts. Just keep an eye out for the snakes and foxes.

A local told us about this and we were glad she did!
A lovely patio overlooking the lake for a tea, drink or tasty offerings.

Beautiful views, nothing I've ever seen before. The beach was clean and accommodating with facilities.

This is actually quite a long drive across the length of PEC's Long Point but this results in a remote location which is well-tended. The beach was the main draw for us, although it consists of flat limestone rock at about lake level. Brilliant to lie on but bring something more than a towel for comfort. Parking is easy and there is a wc facility nearby. As with much of this part of the county bring something to ward off insects, especually if you are planning to stay after dusk.

Great beach, clear fine sand, the water had waves of a pretty decent size the one day it was windy. Clean, plenty of facilities and twenty minutes from Sandbanks if that park is all filled up. Long, flat beach so people who want to get their 10K steps will have no issues here. Interesting that this is more like a 'sand bar' so that you have water on either side of the beach area.

Nice conservation are just south of Picton.
A mixture of trails when it comes to levels of difficulty.
Only problem is they charge for parking...in nature !!

You can't miss this place....it's a giant, colorful water park! There were some really good aspects of this business and some REALLY BAD. All in all, they evened out, but with the amount of people there on a Monday, the business does not seem to be hurting at all.
I am not xenphobic AT ALL but with the Mexican flags flying, it did seem sort of third world. I mean those outhouses, seriously, in Canada?? Gotta be some sort of regulations about that.
We rented a pontoon boat that held 12, so for our party of 7 it was great! Glad we had two experienced boat drivers in our group, because there wasn't much training.
The BBQ worked well, the guy gave us a good tip on using the anchor, and a good time was held by all!

I wouldn't recommend making a special trip to visit this place, but if you are passing, and you like to have a walk in nature, I would recommend it! The 'road' from the road to the parking lot is a dirt track - a bit bumpy - some cars might make the journey to the parking lot easier than others. It wasn't too bad though. There are signs at the parking lot showing you the different trails - they were easy to follow. The trails were short - so this is probably not somewhere you would want to spend more than an hour or so - but it was pleasant, and there seemed to be lots of wildlife - we saw turtles, swans, chipmunks, geese - a small black bird with a bright red patch on it. I'm sure there were a lot more things to see, but we are not really animal experts!! The trails were a bit boggy in places, but passable... and it's a boggy time of year, so only to be expected. There seemed to be another trail that passed through this conservation area - possibly used for snowmobiles?? Everything was just starting to turn green when we visited, so I"m sure visiting at a different time of year things would look much different.

A hidden gem in the South Shore region of Prince Edward County. A short walking trail along the top of the bluffs with gorgeous views of the lake (heed the warning signs and fence and don't get too close to the edge). Also a beautiful and quiet rocky beach down below for those who want something more peaceful than Sandbanks. Note: It's a steep uneven path down to the beach, so it's not easily accessible to everyone (good thing or it might become too popular). All in all, a relaxing place to spend a couple of hours.

Want to get out of your car and breathe some air,get away from crowds, throw a ball, park an overnight RV, launch a boat (on a good concrete ramp) with a finger dock, run the dog, have a picnic lunch, cast a worm with your kids and catch some perch, get a sun tan on the grass, go for a swim, play cards or read a book in the open shelter. I go here all the time in the middle of summer. Under-utilized place thats waiting for you.

We love the brilliance and the friendliness of the arts community in PEC. The arts tour is a great way to see and talk to the artists, learn new things and make some new friends. I highly recommend the arts brochure and a good map of the country. With stops for lunch and wineries too, you will have a great time.

Nice view and amazing for pictures but it is a rock beach so I wouldn't go spend the day. It was nice to walk to it from our hotel in Wellington

Excellent place in the County to view an amazing amount of birds and learn how they are captured ( and released ) after banding. Worth the extra 10 minute drive.

Nice lookout spot in Waupoos. Small stop in Waupoos - provides a good view of Waupoos Bay. Is not extraordinary, but is a decent spot to stop and have a nice scenic view.
