- Jo C1 contributionPretty sheltered cove with fine shingle/gravel beach. Water fairly clear for snorkelling with lots of small fry in the shallows and bigger shoals further out. Clearly zoned swim and craft areas. One restaurant. My only concern is the huge pipe on the sea bed coming from under the beach out to sea presumably discharging waste from the lodges and campsite behind the beach out to sea… I hope it’s redundant! Both times we have been there have been festival so the beach has been crowded. There is always space for your towel and like that you don't have to rent a chair for a spot. Very reasonable rates, flexible times as we purchased the day before. Very relaxing ride, beautiful caves, smaller children were having a blast looking at the fish and we enjoyed relaxing on the beach they took us too. Had a drink at the outdoor bar and we rented kayaks, which was real fun! Only suggestion is bring a waterproof pouch for phones and wallet. We left ours on the beach with our blanket and towels and fortunate it was all good when we returned. Just there is a little stones like everywhere in costa brava so better to have shoes for swimming

While walking through the narrow cobblestone streets we came upon the Chapel of Mare de Deu del Socors. It is a very small but well preserved old church right in the middle of the popular shopping area of Tossa de Mar.
