- Margie DYork, PA2,051 contributionsThe historic center of Lecce, the heart of this city known as the "Florence of the South" with beautiful Baroque architecture.Written January 18, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nadine BBeirut, Lebanon300 contributionsBeautiful white sandy beach with crystal clear waters. Amazing views and different shades of blues with a long shore. The place was packed with tourists but we decided mainly for our comfort to rent two lounges and an umbrella which was really worth it.
You will need a good 30 minutes walk to get to the beach as the parking lot is far. Remember you will need to walk back the same path to get to the car but it was really worth it. Highly recommended beach to go to.Written August 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. First impression was excellent, nice parking, at ”check in” we got all the info we needed. Plus a nice surprise that the majority of the price we paid was credit we could use for food and drinks, which meant the lido was actually very reasonably priced. Food was good and drinks were cold, my favourite was the milkshake. The beach itself was very clean. I would have given a full 5 star rating if there were showers at the beach. It’s kind of dumb to have to put on your t-shirt after swimming to get to the showers as you have to walk through the bar and I usually do like to get the salt water off after swimming.Written September 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hilary1 contributionThis is a beautiful spot to enjoy the Adriatic. Swimming is not allowed in the grotto anymore, but you can still jump in off the cliffs and climb up the rocky wall. Water shoes are helpful. You can see the turquoise water best on a sunny day. You need to pay to park down the street along with a small entry fee.Written September 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Docballs198 contributionsWanted a not too noisy Beach Club with sand and beach lounges as well as catering with crystal clear waters .
All in abundance here.
Ample parking
Get hotel to ring ahead and book a lounge chair at front row to water .
Only downside are the vendors selling “junk” annoying our stay.
Great way to tune out on a glorious sunny day.
Lots of young staff around .
Not too much boom boom music which was greatWritten August 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - BoondogglerMoray, UK540 contributionsOtranto is a lovely little town beside the sea.
Easy to spend the day here. An aroganese castle, lots of interesting shops, restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops and charming small streets to enjoy.
There are 2 beaches within 10 minutes walk from the town walls where we enjoyed a lovely swim.
Locals we encountered were all very friendly. Didn’t feel overly busy with tourists or being subjected to tourist trap pricing.Written October 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The beach is better to the right if facing the sea.Written July 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margie DYork, PA2,051 contributionsThis stunning Basilica was built in the Baroque style in the 1600's, famous for its Rose window. The day we were there it was decorated with flowers and a red curtain for an upcoming wedding!Written January 18, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sam KIpswich, UK31 contributionsSuch a beautiful beach with a backdrop of forest. A short 15 minute walk through a natural park to get to the beach. Bring a snorkel and watch the beautiful sea life in the crystal clear (but surprisingly cold!) water.Written July 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandra E11 contributionsThe view was wonderful. It is a fair hike to the area where you can see it. You have to park in an area where you pay 3 euros and then walk up an incline for a good 15 minutes till you get to an area which says private. People were ignoring the signs and walking to the view. Wear good runners or boots to climb the area to see the view. Great photos were taken.Written August 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margie DYork, PA2,051 contributionsThe old part of the city has many narrow, winding streets that give access to apartments, shops and cafes.
