We were able to take a two hour cruise on Lake Como that was long enough and slow enough to see all the beautiful villas and towns along the way. The stop in Bellagio was perfect too - we were able to see the town and get a fabulous lunch. And we didn’t have to do any of the driving or navigating. - X U1 contributionThe ride was beautiful along the shores of Lake Como. Had some steep sections. My wife and I don’t ride, Alex and her team were very helpful . The views from where we stopped and ate lunch were some of the best we saw of Como and the food was good. - MaskySingapore, Singapore83 contributionsWe used Giovanni’s services for (1) transfer from Malpensa airport to Como (2) tour Como (3) transfer from Como to Milan Central station.
Communication was smooth all the way from queries prior to booking to post travel with Giovanni.
It was most unfortunate for Giovanni and us that his car ended up in the workshop just the day before our tour of Como. Not to disappoint us, Giovanni rented a vehicle to continue with the tour of Lake Como and Bellagio. Giovanni was informative and travelling around with him was like enjoyable like touring with a friend.
We had another tour of his tour booked to see St Moritz which had to sadly be cancelled because of his car issue. Giovanni gave us an alternative suggestion of touring Varenna on our own, which we did and had a nice day hiking there.
Clearly a responsible guide, Giovanni also arranged for someone to transfer us to Milan Central station given his car was stuck in the workshop over the New Year holidays. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - RtmZug, Switzerland2 contributionsMy friend and me wanted to loop the lake of Como and also climb Ghisallo and Muro Di Sormano on 25.09 and were looking for an experienced guide so that we do not lose time looking for the right way and get some support in case of technical issues.
Reached out to Bike It Bellagio on 23.09 evening, Casey responded 24.09 in the morning clarifying the details of what we wanted to do. What we wanted to do was far more than clients normally ask for, but Casey very quickly advised that she had a proper guide for us. All other shops we reached out could not provide a guide on such a short notice.
We made the payment and in the morning of 25.09 our guide Luca picked us from the train at St Giovanni. Luca is a young guy in his early twenties, passionate about cycling and also a nice and kind personality. He picked the right pace suiting our condition from the start and was so kind to pull our little train the entire way so that we save power for the final two climbs. And we did ! We managed to do both Ghisallo and the wall of sormano after 150km along the shores of the majestic Como lake. After the epic climbs we still had to do 20km back to St Giovanni station in Como and Luca was again leading the train and saw us off right at the station. The timing was just perfect, we said big thanks and bye to Luca and jumped on our train completely happy and a bit tired :)
This was an amazing experience which will stay in our memories. Thanks Casey for connecting us to the right guide ! Thanks Luca for making this happen.
