Was picked up nice and early (still dark). I was aware it was going to be a long drive (4 hours). 1 hour into the trip stopped for a toilet stop & continued for another hour to the half way mark for breakfast. After breakfast continued for another 2 hours & during these 2 hours we stopped at some sites for viewing. It rained on this trip. Luckily it did as some sites were more so beautiful. Got to Milford sound where we were given our lunch. It was great. It contained a tasty chicken sandwich, apple, juice, chips, chocolate & candy. Boarded our boat which was on the smaller side compared to the others but it did not fault. On board we got free coffee tea & biscuits. The sites were magnificent and due to the rain we had more waterfalls to see. With the mist it was so mystical. The captain was a comic and had us laughing at some of his comments. Brought us up close at some points during the cruise. So happy to make the long trip as was worth it. Our tour guide "Ted" was so knowledgeable and a top, friendly bloke. Had the best chat with him during out trip. The music in the bus was tops.

It was a well organized trip from start to finish, our drive from Queenstown to Milford Sound was very smooth from pick up at Frankton Bus Exchange and back! Very timely, once arriving on a cozy and comfortable coach to Milford Sounds, we did not have to wait very long to board our ferry! Had a nice light packed lunch waiting for us and the ferry ride was nice! I highly recommend booking with Pure Milford as our driver stopped at all the 'touristy' spots for a chance for everyone to take pictures on the way there. He was very patient, funny and helpful. Thank you Pure Milford :)

Flying with True South Flights from Queenstown to Milford Sound was one of the best experiences we've ever had. From the moment we boarded, the service was exceptional. Our pilot, Liam, and his copilot were incredibly friendly and professional, immediately putting us at ease. Despite not being a fan of flying myself, I was amazed at how smooth the flight was.

We soared over stunning mountain ranges, taking views of incredible glaciers and cascading waterfalls. The scenery was absolutely mesmerizing. The landing at Milford Sound was out of this world, perfectly executed and leaving us in awe.

The boat ride through Milford Sound was equally fantastic, offering us a chance to see more of this natural wonder from a different perspective. We were thrilled to spot some dolphins along the way, which was the cherry on top of an already perfect day.

This experience was truly unforgettable, and we can't recommend True South Flights enough. If I could, I'd give them 1000 stars.

We really enjoyed our trip. We felt very safe in Rupert’s hands, he clearly had a lot of experience. Our boat trip was great fun we loved the 360s and were impressed by how close we got to the canyon. Would definitely recommend.

A superior experience from start to finish. The team at Air Milford were friendly, welcoming, professional, and made it all feel extra special.
We’re so thrillled we decided to fly to the sound - the views were spectacular and our pilot Tim pointed out the landmarks, mountains, and special sights along the way. We even got to fly past a glacier coming home. An unmissable experience and worth every penny.

Tristan, our guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and funny, just hit the right balance for both LOTR tragics and more normal folk. He provides photos of places you visit to recall the scenes, the sites are beautiful in their own right (basically a trip up the Glenorchy valley). My wife enjoyed it even though she is not a LOTR fan. The dress up was fun for all and the discussions between Tristan and on board "experts" were hilarious. Easy walking, toilet stops.

Very well organized. The bus was comfortable and the glass ceiling a bonus for high mountain views. It was a bit of a squeeze though and not much space for a bag/ backpack.( If you are a larger build I'd recommend having a conversation with them before you book to ensure you will be comfortable). Our driver, Brian, was great fun and informative. We made several stops for photos on the way. The boat trip was wonderful and thecaptain/ guide friendly and informative. It was a beautiful sunny day but very cold out on the deck so dress warmly! We very much enjoyed the whole experience and definitely recommend it. We were on the Sovereign.

We had a great time on the tour - even though we had a car rental throughout our time in Queenstown, choosing this tour couldn't have been a better choice considering that we got to sit back, relax while we drove down from Queenstown to Milford with guided commentary about NZ.
For the cost, it was well worth it for us with lunch, the drive and cruise all booked in together.
Our guide was super fun and we really had a great time!

Our tour was on time and that is the result of Paul being very conscientious. His storytelling was delightful and helped the long bus trip move along quicker. The bus had a sun roof and we stopped for restroom breaks frequently. Overall, it was a good experience. Lunch buffet was good and well supplied and we were incredibly fortunate to have beautiful weather. The only way to add the last star was to give us more time on the actual boat. We were out and back at the dock too quickly for me.

We were blessed with fine weather, no wind, snow AND ice. We could not do Hooker Valley walk due to ice on the track which made it dangerous without crampons. Sinchan our guide dropped us to Tasman glacier viewpoint. Sinchan provided a wonderful experience through facts and peaceful interludes.

Lindsey was an excellent driver/guide. Being a local he was always happy to talk about the region and it was a pleasure to have him take us round the different wineries
