So many diverse exhibits, from aboriginal Norwegians, to pharmacy, farmsteads and homes, an old Viking church, barnyard with animals (great for kids!) and so much more.
You will need at least half a day to power though the highlights and a few of your favorite interests [be that children toys through the ages, folk decorative arts, the Sami (indigenous people in Norway), etc.]

Glen and Mateo took us out into Oslo Fjord, both are excellent guides, both are very informative and great with kids.
Our party consisted of nine: four adults and five children, from 9 to 17. Glenn combined a tour of the fjord with expert guidance in fishing: finding us the best shoals by means of echo location.

I wouldn't mind bringing my 13 year old, but if you have a problem with nudity, you probably shouldn't bring children to this exhibition.
