- Go138588349545 contributionsWe had an awesome four days with our guide Jose and driver Johnathan, who were experts in making our trip amazing by sharing their knowledge and good vibes. Though the planned itinerary was already incredible, we appreciated the little personal touches added. Just one example: I love sweets, so we made stops for Jose's recommend ice cream (YUM) and fresh sugar cane juice (YUM).
We also appreciated Wanderbus' attention towards environmental sustainability and supporting local communities, as we try to minimize our negative environmental impacts when travelling.
Jose took some amazing photos that were literally too good quality to upload here haha, but I've added a few in lower resolution.

- Jolette F4 contributionsThis experience was the absolute jewel in my South American adventure. It was well planned & we were advised in advance of terrain, climate & cultural info. Each stop exceeded our expectations with wow factor. Our guide Jose was so well informed & seemed to answer our many questions before we asked. Jose is by far the best guide I’ve had in this part of the world - he is clearly admired & respected by all of the indigenous hosts where we shared meals of delicious local dishes or were privileged to experience cultural rituals. Both Jose & Paul (our brilliant driver) cared for each of our extremely diverse group. I was encouraged & assisted in so many ways it has been a life experience of the highest value. Don’t hesitate- you will get a precious treasure from WanderBus Ecuador & I hope you’re lucky enough to travel with Jose & Paul - truely extraordinary humans that will show you the heart & soul of Ecuador. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Coastal649273241812 contributionsWe had a wonderful trip in Ecuador’s mainland, exploring Quito, Cotopaxi National Park, Banos, Alausi, Cuenca and Guayaquil. We experienced rich culture, stunning architecture, and awe-inspiring natural beauty (including a thrilling cable car ride over a canyon, and beautiful hikes to a waterfall and to see views of majestic volcanoes). Our guide Alejandro was phenomenal, sharing Ecuador’s history and special views with us and local highlights, including eating soursop and chiremoya (delicious fruits), sampling homemade fresh taffy, enjoying roast pork at a market, and drinking canelazo and corn beer. He explained the fascinating backgrounds and customs of some indigenous groups. Alejandro took care of everything for us, providing all transportation and making sure we got where we needed to go. The accommodations were superb, the food was delicious, and the people were very friendly. We had no safety issues or concerns at all. We came away with appreciation for Ecuador’s indigenous and Incan roots and Spanish influences, resulting in a vibrant cultural mix; and for Ecuador’s respect for its natural resources. - Camila L1 contributionWe booked a private tour with WanderBus and got Erick as a guide! (From Quito to Cuenca, 6 days)
A tour like this is perfect if you want to discover a lot of different places in a short amount of time, all with a feeling of being 100% safe.
Erick is quite young for a guide, however, he already knows a lot and it is very confortable to travel with him and above all he explains all very clearly!
Nevertheless, before booking a tour with WanderBus, you should check with the agency whether all activities can really be done, as some of them are not available on certain days. WanderBus did not let us know in advance, and therefore we lost some activities (market, Museum...) because of that. WanderBus or the guide should tell the clients in advance so that they know what they are paying for!!
