What travellers are saying
- RCWAttleboro, MA20 contributionsPrague is a beautiful city with lots of Old world charm. The city is easy to navigate, lots to see and do. Many good restaurants. A favorite city.Written November 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Luca MPadua, Italy39 contributionsI was there with 8 friends and definitively what impressed us more during our visit in Prague. The most beautiful place is the "Golden Lane" where you could really see how the people were living in the past, with a lot of stories around, which we visited at first place (thanks tripadvisor tips!) to avoid the crowd later in the day - also St Vitus Cathedral is wort a visit with his gothic views. It does not take 5 stars as I did noy like the long queues when you enter and also Royal Palace is not something exceptional. Consider "minimum" half a day for a visit - we booked audio-guide, after 3 hours you are forced to give them back and with all the queues it is definitively not enough timeWritten November 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DanaWyn SNew York City, NY46 contributionsAmazing bridge with many many picturesque statues. A great view of the Vltava River and surrounding areas of Prague. We climbed the towers at each end and they were so worth it.Written November 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SamreenAhsanCanadaToronto, Canada848 contributionsThis requires a ticket to go inside. It’s an architectural wonder and a must see place when you’re in Prague. So much history in preserved. There are lots of medieval artefacts you’d see (including bones of a saint)Written November 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carl F12 contributionsLots of variety of animals - including a Komodo Dragon which I'd never seen before! The exhibits are very good and well thought out. The layout is cool, I'd recommend downloading the app so you can see exactly where in the zoo you are. The cost is excellent too considering the range and size.
Good choice of restaurants although I found the food to be quite salty. Beware, if you're a smoker/vaper, you CANNOT exit then enter the zoo with the same ticket, you must buy a new ticket to enter, even if the date is printed clearly on the ticket. My friend had to pay again for the ticket to enter after going out to vape.
Overall, a great experience which took around 4 hours (including food) to see.Written November 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had the opportunity to admire Prague's beautifully lit landmarks and we easily got to the top of the tower by taking two different lifts, so I would say that the tower is disabled friendly. We also got a chance to see some of the beautiful interiors of the town hall, though having looked through some of the photos on TripAdvisor, I wish that we'd gone earlier during the day so that we could see more.
The beautiful astronomical clock is representative of the popular geocentric view of the Middle Ages, according to which the planets revolve around the earth, not the sun. The clock was installed in the early 15th century and it is the oldest working clock of its kind. It has several components: an astronomical dial showing the position of the sun and moon, statues of various Catholic saints and other figures, and a calendar dial. At the turn of the hour the figures are set in motion and this attracts large numbers of tourists keen to witness the spectacle by crowding underneath the clock. The clock was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Prague and I wouldn't hesitate to visit it again the next time I/we go to this beautiful city.Written November 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A bit hilly as it’s in the area where the castle is but a nice place to wander for sure if you’ve been to the castle and fancy a nice walk back to the old townWritten September 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TravelingSoccerLoonSaint Paul, MN6,326 contributionsPetrin Hill is a beautiful city park that is the location of Petrin Tower and that offers hiking trails, spectacular views and a place to relax. The easiest way to the top is to take the funicular but it is reported to be closed until 2026 for repairs. The views from the top of Petrin Tower are truly amazing. It is easy to hike back down the hill and there is a trail that easily takes you back to Lesser Town (Mala Strana).Written October 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Zapryan DLondon, UK643 contributionsI visited the Lobkowicz Palace with my girlfriend last year through the Prague card and we were astonished at the beauty of this site. The palace was built in the mid-16th century at the behest of the Lobkowicz noble family. Over the centuries the family accumulated an impressive collection of decorative arts objects, military and hunting equipment, musical artefacts, and classical paintings. The highlights of the collection are the Hay Harvester by the Flemish painter Pieter Brueghel the Elder and two beautiful views of London by the renowned Italian artist Canaletto. The collection includes numerous portraits of members of the European aristocracy from the Lobkowicz family, as well as their relations, but we didn't spend a lot of time looking at them as we didn't find them that interesting. The interior of the palace is absolutely spectacular and if
