Informative and interesting. Well worth visiting to get a sense of the occupation.
Walkable from krakow (about 35/40 mins from main square) or 1 stop on the train, and there are cafes/ restaurants close by.
Can get crowded as v popular so pick your time. There are guides / tours groups where people are obviously gathered round them so be prepared to either wait or politely get past.

Amazing cathedral and Castle but you have to pay on how much you want to visit so do some research before you visit to save you time in the castle ticket queue.
The cathedral can be paid for and visited seperately. follow the suggested route around to and you wil see all of it, including the crypt with all the royal coffins.

A very informative private guided tour. What a mind blowing collection of architecture and history.Only downside for me was not being allowed to take pictures of some breathtaking chapels and architecture..

We were not really bothered by all the shops will their jewellery, galls ware and souvenirs. The interior was stunning. The place is large and has an incredible history. Well worth the time to walk through.

One of the most beautiful streets in Krakow is Ulica Grodzka and along this street are some beautiful churches, one of the most eye catching is Church Of St Peter's And St Paul.
A wonderful looking church constructed in the 1600's in the Renaissance style of architecture that is so pleasing on the eye, the church interior is opulent, so much to take in, exterior is equally as pleasing on the eye, the statue's of the 12 apostles outside the entrance make for a great entrance, its a great church to view if you're planning a holiday to Krakow and easy to locate along Ulica Grodzka.

One of the most beautiful streets in Krakow is Ulica Florianska, starting from Rynek Glowny ( Main Market Square) it runs down as far as the stunning St Florians Gate ,street is lined with amazing architecture, visually its a joy to walk down, along the street are all manner of pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants plus some souvenir shops and it's popular both day or night ,if you're planning a holiday to Krakow it's a street that's most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the Old Town of Krakow.

Very impressive site and quick to visit. Probably a more significant site than the time most would spend there. Certainly a must though.

Took a tram and walked up Abrahama street to the Grey House and then walked around the site of the former camp. Lots of paths and ways to walk, we felt there could have been more to read and more actual paths to some of the information boards as it felt a bit unfinished. However, highly recommend visiting to get a sense of the scale and using the map overlay from the Plaszow website when walking around to fully understand what was where.

One of the most beautiful and historic churches in Krakow in my opinion is Church On The Rock ( Kosciol Na Skalce ), its also known as Church Of St Michael The Archangel And Martyr Of The Pauline Monastery.
Located on the banks of the River Vistula, in fact originally this beautiful church was on an island until the river section was filled in during the 19th century, the church was constructed in 1079 but the beautiful Baroque look we see today was created between 1733-1751 ,the church is famous or infamous as on the spot were the church stands the Archbishop Of Krakow Stanislaus Of Szczeponow was slain on the orders of King Boleslaw III The Bold ensuring Stanislaus was created a saint and the king was exiled .
The church is on the famous St Stanislaus Route, a beautiful location that makes for some great photographic opportunities and it's easy to locate along Ul Skaleczna in the Kazimierz district ( Jewish Quarter ).
Well worth seeking out if you're planning a holiday to Krakow.

The Jagiellonian University is one of the oldest and most respected universities in the world, its a series of faculty buildings spread throughout the city ,walking down Ulica Grodzka you pass Collegium Luridicum ,this is a complex of 15th century buildings that form the Faculty Of Law ,these Gothic buildings look superb ,this one along Ulica Grodzka is more sedate in look but still beautiful to view, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the Old Town of Krakow and easy to locate along Ulica Grodzka.

I discovered this little museum when tickets for the Rynek Underground were sold out, but am glad I did. It proved to be interesting in its own right, and basically featured the development of Krakow as an urban center from 1257 to the early 20th c. There are a number of interesting scale models of the city over time, a weapons and shield collection, lots of historic photographs, medals, coins, portraits of local intelligentsia, some tools, and scientific stuff - even a hot air balloon! The building itself is interesting, dating from the 1600's, and featuring many architectural and ornamental details, and a courtyard with a collonaded loggia. It has served many purposes, including a private residential palace, a bishop's residence, revolutionary committee headquarters in 1848, and the recruitment office for the Polish Legion in 1914. Admission was free the day I visited.

Located on the beautiful Ulica Szeroka, the most beautiful street in the Jewish Quarter ( Kazimierz ) is House Of Landau, one of the most historic buildings along this street.
A fantastic looking former town house constructed in the 19th century, the facade is superb, now home to a great Isreali restaurant, its a building that adds to the joy of walking along Ulica Szeroka.

It told the terrifying history carefully and well. V good displays and lots of information. Well paced and beautifully curated. The queue to get in moved very slowly -there is only one till and we were queued up outside in the rain for 30minutes which was frustrating and a bit damp!
