What travellers are saying
- Paul HBournemouth, UK1,768 contributionsWell worth a visit for the cafes or food places at least many of which have vegan options by the way. The rest of the market, other than the supermarket in the basement, is very unusual. One can get almost anything there. The clothing store on the top floor in particular will puzzle you.Written September 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CristinelRomania1,378 contributionsBeautiful small and quiet courtyard in the Old City of Tallinn. Very well preserved, it takes you back through the centuries. Colorful and cosy, worth a stop by and enjoying some tranquil moments here.Written September 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WorldPandaFairhope, AL115 contributionsJust about 10-15 minutes walk from the Old City Centre. Many small places to eat with shared sitting, some more formal restaurants too. Variety and pricing is better than the more touristy area. If you want groceries, fresh meat or cheese and vegetables, go there.
Even though it’s busy, it’s a different busy so it gives you a break from the bus loads or tourists roaming the old town.Written September 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Some visions like myself who were in search of fresh fruits etc. There are many kiosks selling local products and the entire environment is one of down to earth aura.
It's a clean market and it serves it's purpose. .not really a tourist attraction.Written September 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Sunday market was busy although some of the market hall stalls were closed. The market hall is a modern but period recreation after the hall burnt down within a few years of its restoration! Excellent range of fresh food on offer plus a cafe with cakes - what’s not to like.Written August 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LolaGo1Washington DC, DC6,632 contributionsI came accros this small, quaint store as I was walking around Old Town. Took some pictures here and told the Owner that I would be back to buy some interesting stuffs from her.Written May 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mikael FHelsinki, Finland31,139 contributionsThis shopping center is located near the Port (Terminal A). Or should the place be called a bazaar? At least walking through the ground floor, you had a feeling of a Turkish bazaar selling copied brand clothes.
You can find also bars, restaurants, food shops, alcohol shop Viinapörssi and a pharmacy. Everything that Finnish cruise passengers are expected to need.Written February 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But the service is below zero , like soviet times.
The smiling “lady” who is working there , is like a barking dog with the clients ….
