- RobDog33Dublin, Ireland373 contributionsGreat views of the city, there are lots of steps to get up here it is worth it in the end, a great view all the old buildings that Tallin offersWritten July 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jbg74Saint Paul, MN1,099 contributionsThis was an excellent art museum. There is a fair amount of modern art which I am mostly not a fan of, but there was a great collection of Soviet era art and an even better collection of 19th and early 20th century Estonian art. There were a couple of good collections of Surrealist art too. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of art and presentation. It is a world class art museum, well worth visiting.Written September 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stefanie HLincoln, NE1,745 contributionsTallinn has a wonderfully preserved series of medieval towers and walls, and they are all very easy to find in the historic center. The entry into the center takes you through a beautiful set of walls, along with the Fat Margaret tower. Highly recommend a walk along the walls!Written July 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GlobeRunner22Sydney, Australia304 contributionsI loved my visit. They don't normally open for visits after August, especially not individual visitors. Only groups can visit and by appointment only.
I contacted the Town Hall well ahead of my visit and Tuuli was kind enough to arrange a visit for me by appointment today. I am very thankful for this.
I had the whole place to myself and spent about an hour there. The security guard who opened the door for me at my designated appointment time was also lovely and so very helpful. She even showed me a part of the remaining original old town wall running through the male toilers downstairs.
The Town Hall is an amazing place to visit if you are in Tallinn. Allow an hour to see everything comfortably. The attic was not open for me nor was the tower unfortunately. If those are open you will need 1.5 hrs.
Thank you Tuuli and the Town Hall for allowing me to visit this special place.Written September 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Calm Explorer15 contributionsThe ruins were an interesting sight especially the big facade is very impressive. There are info point here and there which give out nice information, how ever it would be nice to understand the structures more in detail and how the life in the convent would have been like. The ticket machine was broken (it couldn't print out paper) so we got in when someone else got out. It would be nice that the entrance would be more accessible and not dependent on the wits of the tourist. Pirita beach and Metsakalmistu are nearby sights that can be reached by car or bike.Written August 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a small museum inside the pharmacy, displaying antique pharmacy equipment and historical materials. It looks to be part of a larger facility and this is what remains. It’s interesting to see things so old that are still standing. They have staged a lot of artwork inside, I’m not sure why.Written June 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ShavyRoeselare, Belgium7,169 contributionsThere were two different price 10€ for the four towers only and 14€ for a combination ticket - Four towers plus Bastion tunnels. We only pay for the towers and walkthrough the wall although it was pricey, it's worth the price.Written November 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
