I visited the palace and gardens on my first day in Tallinn. The museum has some wonderful works of art and was a pleasure to wonder.
There was a helpful security guard that helped guide me to the lockers for my bags. Language was a bit of a barrier but he did good. I have to say I felt a little uncomfortable when getting my ticket for the gallery as the woman serving seemed quite short and unimpressed with me. It left me wondering if language would be a huge barrier for my trip to Tallinn. It was a nice little visit though and the gardens are really nice for a wander after.
I am pleased to say that much of Tallinn, over my three days in the city, made up for any bad vibes from day one.

This is a slightly deceptive building viewed from the front, pink facade next to the cathedral, as it doesn't resemble a castle. This baroque building was built sometime after the castle. To see its true (medival) identity you need to take a short detour to see its alter-ego!

Situated in a forrest in the outskirts of Tallinn, this historical castle is worth a visit on a day out.

Our tour bus stopped here and I was able to walk around the gardens and explore a little - the tower truly is imposing! And the grounds are beautiful. There is also a public restroom here, which many found useful.

Located accross from the Alexander Newski Cathedral, this attraction caught my attention. People/tourists were posing infront of it, must be an important building. No entrance for tourists here.

Behind this attaction is a beautiful garden and a Tower. Took several pictures here.
