- Kärolin S1 contributionAmazing experience, very thrilling and leaves a wonderful memory for a long time. The instructor (Slava!!) was very experienced and knew how to make the experience even more fun. 🤩🤩🤩 Definitely will be going back!!!Written January 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Huw J2 contributionsThe two kids had an amazing time here. Sergei spoke good English and was calm and clear in his instructions. We felt safe at all times. It was the highlight of the holiday as far as the kids were concerned! My younger one is 12, the youngest age you can do it from and also small, so we wondered if he would be refused to do it. However, he was still able to participate. We were on public transport only but it was a simple bus ride from Kadriorg (34) out to the shooting range and there is a lovely beach next to it, if you want to make a day of it.Written August 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael Smith7 contributionsWhere do I start. Well, let's start with communication. Poor. I had been to this place a few years back and had a great time. My son was turning 18, so I figured what better way than to have some fun shooting. I had sent multiple emails explaining that it was my son's birthday and we wanted to shoot multiple weapons. I also explained that there would be three of us.
We arrived 5 minutes before our appointment time and we ushered into a room and abandoned for over 10 minutes. I had to go find somebody to let them know that we hadn't left and were still waiting. The three of us decided that we would take two of the package deals and round it out with a third package or just pick and choose until our funds were exhausted. Sounded like a plan (this is exactly what we had done earlier.)
My son and I are experienced shooters and gun owners the third party had never fired anything other than airsoft.
When we got to the range we were then told, "Look you got to hurry. I have to get you out of here in 45 minutes because we have another client coming. Who has the first package?"
I told him that he just needed to announce what weapon was next and we would step forward to shoot it.
"No, that won't work, you can't mix and match."
"Why? We pay you money to shoot certain weapons, who cares who shoots what?"
"Can't do that."
Then he hands my friend, the one who has NEVER fired a revolver, a GP100 and tells him to shoot the target over 15 meters away.
"You should use single action."
WRONG!
If this is the first time a person has ever fired a revolver, he needs to feel what it is like to do the long pull (safety). Additionally, thumb-cocking a pistol is a bit awkward for a beginner!
Anyway, it just went downhill from there.
When I tried to let to get my friend to move to the 10 meter line to improve his confidence and accuracy, the "range coach" threw a fit!
"NO!! You can't do that!"
"Why not?"
"Cause I said so!"
They had a whole table with various weapons laid out. I was simply pointing them out to my friend, explaining what they were and the "coach" screamed, "DO NOT TOUCH THAT."
Chill man.
First of all, I am an EXPERIENCED shooter/owner. I was not going to "touch" a weapon without permission.
2nd, even if I had, they were supposed to be in a safe condition.
3rd, if you had any brains, you would have said, "Hey guys! You like that one? You want to shoot it?" Cha-ching! Money in the bank.
Instead, I walked out with most of my money still in my pocket!
"It was constantly, "Hurry up, we have another customer coming!"
Boy, talk about making us feel welcome!
I tried talking to the other guys as we were paying but they just blew us off. They weren't interested. Fine. There are other ranges and better in Tallinn!
Oh, and as we were leaving the other customer (just one guy!) was walking in. Hope he pays well because you'll need his business cause we ain't coming back!
I am giving these guys 2 stars instead of 1 since the weapons mostly worked. We only had two malfunctions, if I remember correctly.Written November 24, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
