What travellers are saying
- Monika AudraHelsinki, Finland207 contributionsFor those who are interested in dogs and cats, before visiting the nature trail, stop by Luusi area and stop by the Animal Shelter NGO (the address is Paljassaare tee 85, 10313, Tallinn).
From city center, go to Balti Jaam bus station and take bus no 59 to Luusi. Cost is 2 eu (adult) and either pay with cash in exact amount or buy the green card from R-kioski. The shelter building is right in front of the bus stop. (200 mtrs from the nature trail)
You can offer your help by doing some chores around the shelter or taking one dog to walk the nature trail for a couple of hours. They open from 11.30-18.30 and they will only offer you the dog which match your preferences (for example I’m good with small dog thus they gave me Käbike, who’s very sweet and I suspect that he’s a mix breed between Collie and Golden? (^。^))
Walking around the nature trail itself will take around 1,5 - 2 hours, unless you decide to enjoy sun bath or swimming by the sea.

It's like going back in time.Written August 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SanniTartu, Estonia153 contributionsThis place was a complite rob and made me sick. The room was really small, only had a few common potted plants and a lady that was shooing a few very teared and sad looking butterflies around the room. There was a parot that was clearly poorly kept, it’s tail was gray and tattered, it was pushing and knawing against the bars of a cage that was filthy and clearly too small for it. I would not recommend the place to anyone even if it was free. In fact, if I knew how, I would get them shut down for animal abuse!Written December 31, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
