- R K LSeattle, WA3,842 contributionsCompared to other Old Towns, Tallinn's was relatively compact. Our walking tour was self-guided by following the "Visit Tallinn" tourist map which showed some 27 attractions. Although we viewed several only from their exteriors, we were able to experience Tallinn Old Town in a single day. Admittedly, extending our walking tour into a second day would have been more relaxing.Written October 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RobDog33Dublin, Ireland373 contributionsGreat views of the city, there are lots of steps to get up here it is worth it in the end, a great view all the old buildings that Tallin offersWritten July 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul HBournemouth, UK1,766 contributionsIf you go to Tallinn, you will end up passing through or by the square several times during your visit as it is so central to the Old Town. The main feature in the square in the Town Hall. A hive of activity in the evening, mainly with the restaurants and their outdoor seating. For photos, I found just before sunrise the best time to go as the street lights and the flood lights are still on.Written September 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - R K LSeattle, WA3,842 contributionsWhile steering totally clear of any travel to Russia, we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the historic Alexander Nevsky Cathedral from the Tsarist Russian era. Dominated by its five distinctive onion domes, the Cathedral itself was visually very striking. Its beautiful interior was absolutely stunning and provided such a contrast to most other cathedral interiors. Our visit was definitely time well spent.Written October 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Daniel GMelbourne, Australia4,410 contributionsDuring our Tallinn trip we visited this attraction. This park is beautiful area almost in the centre of Tallinn. The plants are shaped very nice. In this park also placed Estonian President residence. This Friday night it was light show in this park. Incredibly amazing!Written September 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stefanie HLincoln, NE1,745 contributionsTallinn has a wonderfully preserved series of medieval towers and walls, and they are all very easy to find in the historic center. The entry into the center takes you through a beautiful set of walls, along with the Fat Margaret tower. Highly recommend a walk along the walls!Written July 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paul HBournemouth, UK1,766 contributionsWell worth a visit for the cafes or food places at least many of which have vegan options by the way. The rest of the market, other than the supermarket in the basement, is very unusual. One can get almost anything there. The clothing store on the top floor in particular will puzzle you.Written September 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul HBournemouth, UK1,766 contributionsI went there at 05:30 in the morning to have it to myself, so I could photograph it with the streetlights still on. That is because in the evenings the restaurants on the street are open a little late, or many people are passing by.Written September 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barbs25Staffordshire, UK3,910 contributionsLittle walk out of the centre but worth it. Amazing murals and art on the walls and all over. Once you get to the market and big crazy bus it’s very quiet and feels a bit off but keep walking to the best area with lots of art shops, thrift shops and places to eat/drink. Great place to spend a couple of hours.Written June 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Beatriz MDĂĽsseldorf, Germany5,677 contributionsMust see not only the Pirita beach but also the ruins of the church which are basically in front of the beach, it is like a 5 min walk. We arrived there using the bus from the center of Tallinn. It was very easy and fast, ticket costs 1.50 for non residents and can be paid with any contact less card like VISA Mastercard on bus (usually the first validating machine in entrance of the bus).Written April 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CristinelRomania1,378 contributionsRottermann Quarter was the first one seen in Tallinn, coming from the port.
Very interesting and attractive neighborhood, surprisingly mixing the old with the new. We liked the factory and warehouse aesthetic of the buildings while they are modern shopping centers, restaurants and cafes.

- Daniel GMelbourne, Australia4,410 contributionsDuring our Baltic trip we spent a week in Tallinn in hotel closed to old town and everyday our visit of this beautiful place was started by moving between these two beautiful old towers, which actually divide the old and new Tallinn. - Thomas VOakland, CA17,790 contributionsOne of the best-looking streets in the Old Town. You will want to stroll here and look into the shops, and some of them have quality merchandise. You will also find places to eat and drink.Written July 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Thomas VOakland, CA17,790 contributionsIf you climb up the hill, this is a good view point, good place to see the old town, all the red rooftops, and the big harbor with the ferry ships. Good on a sunny day.Written July 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
