- HockeyboyDesborough, UK299 contributionsNice enough market. Easy to find. Brew pub was fine and the deli/coffee shop very nice. It’s cash only in some parts so take a few euros.Written October 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cristocea T1 contributionIncredible collection of ornaments and medals, unique and diverse, ranging from a wide array of diffferent countries and ages. The knowledgeable staff are there to guide you and also answer any other questions you might have regarding the exhibit, clearly displaying passion for their work, almost like a labour of love. Great staff, incredibly beautiful and varied exhibition, and lots of nice souvenirs!Written December 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tom JLondon, UK1,853 contributionsWe walked up to Telleskivi from the old town to have a look at all the street art and visit one of the local cafes having heard great things about it. The area can feel a little out of the way but by no means is it a long walk, a nice stroll if the weather is good.
The whole area is very vibrant with plenty of street art to be admired. There are some really genius uses of space with old train carriages and buses being converted into cafes and bars. It’s a very local social kind of place but plenty of happy and chatty people about for sure!Written November 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Admission is 2 Euros per person, automatic pay machine, accepts Apple Pay.Written October 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Despoina M1 contributionA wonderful journey to medieval era! Everything was magical in this photo shoot! The studio, the costumes, the accessories, the feeling, the photographer! Larissa is a professional and an amazing person and she made me and my niece feel and look like queens! Don't miss such a gift if you ever visit Tallinn!Written December 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LostInTimePittsburgh, PA24,300 contributionsThis place cost 5 euros to go in. It appears really old. It looks to be part of a larger facility and this is what remains. It’s interesting to see things so old that are still standing. They have staged a lot of artwork inside, I’m not sure why.Written June 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IG VellamaaTallinn, Estonia184 contributionsA nice small museum in Tallinn old town. Probably more interesting for local people who have some experience in the puppetry theatre to have a kind of "I remember..." effect as well (but sure I can be wrong about that). This time a very interesting exhibition about Urmas Alender was presented there but again - I believe it is for people who remember this actor and singer.Written July 13, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Simo KTampere, Finland58 contributionsThe first time I visited synagogue from the inside. This one was really impressive and beautiful. The guide did his job well to give many details about the building and history. I highly recommend it.Written July 21, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TbTCedar Rapids, IA332 contributionsThis is a pleasant hill to walk around & get away from the cruise tour groups across the street on Toompea. It gives a good view of the parks & Freedom Square below. I had a drink & a snack at the small cafe here.Written December 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JacqyAmsterdam, The Netherlands18 contributionsNarva castle & Eastern bloc Day tour
We enjoyed our private tour with guide George, he tailored our day to our wishes and was knowledgeable and entertaining. Our first stop was a waterfall and a seashore. Actually, the waterfall ended in the beach, and the mix of both soothing water sounds really made my day (and I put them in a sound loop to create a sleeping sound :-) My travel compagnion best experience were the different sweet smells of the forests we have been in.We visited the Narva castle and I had never been so close to the Ru border. Then we had an excellent lunch in a university building and went for our last stop, Sillamäe. This is a small city with a crazy history. From fishermans town, to luxury resort, to industrial oil plant, to concentrations camps, to a uranium plant to manufacture a nuclear bomb, and that gave the status of a secret and closed town, wiped off the map. And in recent history everyone can freely enjoy the promenade and seashore. So did we.Written October 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. When arrived you are introduced to the concept before you actually can enter the bar, great hosting. Style of the bar is really 30-ish. We liked it!Written June 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NetAmbWashington, DC89 contributionsWOW!! One of the best bar/brewpub experiences EVER!! I got there early (around 700 p.m.). The place is like an underground bomb shelter with fun and funky furnishings. More importantly, they serve 10 carefully curated draft beers and 200+ very special canned beers. If you enjoy good and/or interesting beer and visit Tallinn and do not seek out this place, you will be making a HUGE mistake. But it's hard to find. No address marker for "8 Lai". Go to 6 Lai, walk about 60 feet sneak into a one-car garage. Great bartenders/beer sommeliers and fascinating clientele (Estonians, Brazilians, a few random Russians). Order a flight!!Written November 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marit M1 contributionVery scary and good. It was pretty hard but they help you if you don’t understand something. Will go there again! Very good.Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JessWales, UK347 contributionsThis place was very quiet when we visited. The staff were great, and the service was friendly and efficient. The menu is very interesting with a wide range of cocktails. The drinks were great quality, they were not entirely to my taste but I would return to try some different cocktails!Written October 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
