Walking the town of Skagway while our cruise ship was in port and discovered this gem!
In a cruise port filled with shops owned by most of the cruise lines and other big companies, it was so nice to find a friendly and local shop in Juneau selling art and souvenirs made by local artists.
The gift shops can be a little overwhelming in Juneau - so many, and limited time to explore - this is a great place to start your search for a perfect gift.

I love the ones I purchased, I smile every time I walk by them, on my wall, and remember the beauty of Alaska and Mother Nature's gifts to us all.

Took this highlights tour mainly for this artist since the cruise excursion comments were so good.
It is free to enter but one can make a donation in the shop at the exit where one can buy originals and copies of his work.
The museum is a fascinating and well curated trip through Alaska’s natural history, ethnography of its Native peoples, and more recent history from Russian settlers to the Gold Rush, and a candid look at WWII and...
Beautiful building and the views from the campus are the best in the area and I have seen some amazing sunsets where the sun sets behind the hills to the west, but still illuminate the distant mountains in golden...

All the artists are within the area too so it has the best selection of local Alaskan art and gifts and they are talented.
We stopped in here our last day in Homer, great shop with lots of local artists with reasonable prices!
Our favorite shop- it's like a local art gallery and so many unique specialty pieces- you can learn about the locals who crafted the items as well.
All kinds of price ranges, and gifts from toys to jewelry, with a very helpful and accomodating staff to make your stay pleasant.
We found the Kahiltna Gold Birch Syrup store on our way into Talkeetna so we visited the next day and are glad we did!! Quaint shop with a surprising number of affordable gifts.
This is a great place to go to learn more about the process of making birch syrup as well as a great gift shop!
We toured the capitol and walked to the Historic District and stumbled across this adorable little shop.
The staff is always helpful and friendly and the gifts I have bought for people have always been much appreciated.
The main street is Broadway and on this street you will find all sorts of shops from jewellery stores, a bookstore, restaurants, souvenir shops, etc. Easily walkable (on a boardwalk) from the cruise ship port, the...

We often purchase several of their beautiful Ulu sets to bring back as gifts, and I have several knives that I have purchases including a couple of beautiful Benchmades and a hand-made skinning knife.
Great customer service, valued time spent explaining the craftsmanship of the product, excellent shipping options, which got to our Texas house before we did.
To top it off, the shop is family run -- we went to the store twice to take it all in, and met Jeffrey, Andrew and Tyler of the the Tripp family who were all courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful.
While looking for souvenir shops to buy some souvenirs, it was hard to find any place that isn’t like any other souvenir place.
Tongass offers an option where you can pay for the shipping at one store, and have any other items purchased at different stores (they have several in Ketchikan) added to that; you just keep the original shipping...
Great shop, lots of useful cold weather gear but the socks are to die for!!
I left with the perfect gifts for everyone, and so happy about the shopping experience.
This is the best shop in Ketchikan for local art, craft and souvenirs.
It's a large Christmas store with beautiful Christmas mementos, an antique sleigh, Santa, reindeer (outside in their enclosure), and a giant Santa statue outside.
Their chocolate shop has wonderful fudge and a large variety of different chocolates.

... and crafts and artifacts you will enjoy this small but selective collection And if you buy at the gift shop you’re supporting the native indigenous culture made in America arts and crafts which is a lovely thing!
Visiting the gift shop with its very carefully selected offerings after viewing the 5 floors of the hospital’s gorgeous collection of Native arts and crafts is a very special experience!

Best spot for shopping during our cruise, items we saw were made in Alaska and they will ship for you --- all the money goes back into the local community.
They have a huge chocolate fountain display and a giant stuffed (fake) moose and bear for the children to be photographed with.
This is a great place for souvenirs, with a Willy Wonka-esque touch!

Our cruise stopped in Juneau and while walking into town there was a line of people at The Alaskan Fudge store buying ice cream.
We entered the shop and were greeted by a girl who was very friendly and helpful and recommended different flavours.
It was a pleasant surprise when the person who helped me choose a necklace was the one who designed and crafted it.
A must if you’re shopping for jewelry in Fairbanks

Lakeview Outfitters

Cooper Landing
We've happened across this shop last year and have enjoyed a scenic float at first for a birthday party with 8+ of us - the snacks provided and easy laid back company paired well with our rowdy bunch!
Awesome fly fishing experience with a great guide and great scenery.
The art, from paintings, to wood carvings to soapstone sculptures in both shops are first-rate and exquisite.
It has more quality items than some of the mainstream 'tourist' souvenir shops and good to be able to see such a fine and distinctive shop.
We discovered this beautiful shop that was a feast for the eyes.
along came this shop at the end of our trip.
