- Cassie HCalgary, Canada1,082 contributionsIt was cold and rainy and miserable out and yet this was one of the most stunning places I’ve ever seen. Despite the weather we got incredibly close. The sound of the ice calving was insane. We saw Glacier Bay a week later but this was our favouriteWritten December 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RunningMilessAnchorage, AK9 contributionsTop notch experience! The mushers and the dogs…so friendly and happy! Easy to find, had extra gear (pant shell for my XL tall hubby even). These sled dogs are jumpin’ to go and we were treated to an easy, well-organized and special Alaska experience. We are Alaskans ourselves and just cannot speak highly enough about this time at Black Spruce. I think my husband wanted to sneak some of the dogs home with us as he loved it so much!Written February 6, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MargaretL343Missouri79 contributionsNice cultural center with some good presentations on the culture, music, games and stories of the Alaskan natives. After the presentations there is a tour that takes you through the grounds which includes some buildings and totems that have been replicated. Also a small museum with information about the different Alaskan tribes. There are also tables with vendors selling native jewelry, toys and books in the main building. Very interesting and worth about a half day.Written October 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Paul DYatte Yattah, Australia100 contributionsWe did the Misty Fjords and Wilderness Explorer Cruise Excursion from our Cruise on the Queen Elizabeth. We spent 12 days cruising Alaska and did three wildlife cruises. This cruise was by far the best in terms of wildlife sighted, including orcas, seals, birdlife. The scenery was also incredible and different from the other tours. But if you're pressed for time or hoping for a very cool glacier encounter, don't feel bad skipping this. The glacier has receded so much that you can't get close to it at all. All of your views are going to be from quite some distance.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This was very interesting, and to see Eagles & Owls close up in a natural habitat was amazing. The tour guide was very friendly, but too fast and we couldn't hear most of what was said. Hopefully we'll be able to come back sometime when we can take a tour then spend more time with the animals.Written January 13, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
