What travellers are saying
- racer1414201720 contributionsIf you like architecture and a great setting plan for 3 hours. If you like the art and displays then allow more time. A nice trip up the hill in the train. Great place to enjoy great views of the area, the outside art and gardens, and a cafe where you can eat inside or out. Richard Meier has captured and framed many views of the area beyond and the buildings. Some parts you'd think you're in Israel with the stone, others at the High Art Museum in Atlanta, others in this California setting. Comfortable to move from one building and place to another.Written May 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- K25billyzoneFargo, ND25 contributionsWe enjoyed our trip to Alcatraz and would recommend it to others. The audio tour works well and it was a great experience .Written May 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kimberly ABaton Rouge, LA3 contributionsThe USS Midway Museum was an unexpected surprise. I went reluctantly, but really enjoyed every second of it.Written May 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- purpleijSarasota, FL218 contributionsWe drove from Napa Valley to San Diego mostly on Hwy 1 and it was worth it! The scenery breathtaking with lots of viewpoints and opportunities for places to eat and bathroom breaks. Along the way we stopped at Half Moon, stayed in Monterey (preferred Carmel), Pebble Beach, Cambria, stopped at Solvang, stayed in Santa Barbara and San Diego. We took our time and allowed extra time for each location (about an additional hour from what google map tells you). We felt the coastal roads were safe and easy to navigate.Written May 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- holibobinAberdeen, UK214 contributionsThis was our first visit to DCA and it was outstanding, the park felt spacious and we never had to wait long at all for any of the rides, There were lots of photo pass photographers which was great and they took so much time to make magical memories for us.Written May 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Keith FScotland, UK512 contributionsThe cable car journey to the top of the mountain takes about ten minutes. There is a guide on board and uniquely the floor of the car rotated as you travel so the views are terrific. At the top the facilities are excellent but the walks are outstanding. Viewpoints are posted along the way making this a superb day out.Written May 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- NQLLondon72 contributionsThis was my fourth visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and it delighted once more. It's well laid out although having to prebook had clearly fazed some visitors who had simply turned up.Written May 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- hankypanky505Albuquerque, NM413 contributionsUnfortunately the place is closed temporarily so we were unable to go inside. But even the outside is worth checking out and there's a really nice courtyard area to have a little lunch. Beautiful architecture and paintings, so bummed I didn't get to see the inside.Written April 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- VIPIN_GOEL_TP_ImpexNew Delhi, India5,889 contributionsWe started in afternoon and finished the drive in around 4 hours. The whole drive was full of great views of sea, rocks, sea birds, seals sea lions, trees under nature. Our whole family group enjoyed it. Sunset was beautiful in the evening from The Lone Cypress point.Written May 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- endlesssummer53Albuquerque, NM7 contributionsLOVELY place to visit on ANY day, especially when the roses are in bloom.
This location was my FIRST city job as a Groundsworker in 1975. What memories I have and I learned so much about roses and how to care for them.
When you go, marvel at the roses but please DO NOT pick any!
One of San Jose's finest places to visit if you are a tourist or resident. GREAT place for a picnic or party.Written May 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - StowMomof2BoysStow, OH183 contributionsGreat break from the dining and shopping of Long Beach. Nice displays and many cool creatures to see, including many different types of jellyfish. Besides fish, also have a great seal, sea Lion and otter displays.Written April 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Alanna MOranjestad, Aruba28 contributionsSandy is a knowledgeable and engaging guide. We loved our vineyard tour and the wine and food pairings were out of this world. The whole team made sure we had everything we could want. Visit soon!Written May 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- El viaje incansable6 contributionsSpectacular site for many travelers, especially at the end of Route 66. This popular city in Los Angeles County has an amusement park, a beautiful wooden pier, a promenade that draws the entire beach and another that is practically built with clothing stores. In addition, all this is always accompanied by a warm sun.Written February 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- noxiousburritoAnn Arbor, MI257 contributionsThis is a must see attraction.
PROS: The sea lions sure have a lot to say. The seals are super cute. The waves crashing are amazing. The birds are beautiful. Fairly nice public restrooms.
CONS: Lots of stairs and hills to get to area. These beasts smell terrible. Birds are pooping everywhere.
Would love to come back when I have more energy to fully explore the area.Written May 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - DJT326Crested Butte, CO95 contributionsA bit of a line to get in which surprised us but was well worth the $12 admission. The museum has a ton of trains and the staff was excellent at providing history and information. Third floor is fun for kids and the gift shop is great.Written May 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
