What travellers are saying
- travelgirl179Pennsylvania357 contributionsBring your cash and your cooler, because this is truly the best place to visit. There’s fresh veggies, meats, desserts, bread, spices, sauces, cheese, whatever. We plan our meals based on what we buy here. You have to pay for parking, but the first hour is free and it’s pretty cheap after that.Written January 28, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christopher DChicago, IL39 contributionsExcellent museum, including several aircraft that you can walk through. They have such an extensive collection of items on display that you can easily spend 2 full days here. The information about each item is succinct and non-politically slanted; they just present data and facts, and don’t overwhelm you.
The museum presents the history of women and racial minorities appropriately, using the evolution of flight and the Army Air Force/Air Force itself throughout war, peacetime, research, and the space race to show their struggles, contributions, and accomplishments - without shaming readers who aren’t minorities. The authorship is fair and informative and educates the readers.
Admission is free and parking is plentiful. The museum is open on weekends.
This place really gets it right and is rare example of the federal government doing something well for its’ taxpayers.
I could go on and on praising the museum but it’s better to just let you experience it yourself.
As an aside, you can view many of the aircraft on display on their website. But go in person.Written February 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Parking was easy (street parking right outside for $4) & entrance was seamless with the previously purchased timed entry tickets. Interesting building and attractive location on the lakefront. Most of the must-see exhibits are on the lowest (largest) floor & that's where we spent most of our time. I was particularly interested in the origins of rock and roll, so spent a lot of time in that section, which was well described and represented. Would definitely go back & may even consider becoming a member, even though I live 7 hours away!Written November 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David Bosley JrErlanger, KY5 contributionsI went to Cedar Point, This Past summer and in summer of 2023, and it was amazing, my favorite roller coasters to ride there is Millennium Force and Maverick, and my favorite places to eat are the pizza place and the amazing Grand pavilion they have near the Lake. also, amazing views of Lake Erie, especially if you're riding Wind Seeker, Millenium force, or even Valravn for that matter, since you would love the views and the vibes this theme park has to offer.Written February 8, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michelle SIllinois203 contributionsMy whole family loved this zoo. We have visited several zoos around the country and this definitely makes it near the top of the list. It was easy to walk around and very clean. The animal seemed well taken care of. We loved the Gorillas and monkeys and of course the hippos. We had pizza there for lunch, which was good.Written January 1, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

I took my 11 year old daughter and she really enjoyed it as well. The variety and quality of art and displays was impressive. The modern feel to the building was a big plus as was the nice restaurant with a sushi station and other high quality meals. Congrats to the donors and whoever maintains this free entry museum.Written January 19, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah E1 contributionAs older adults we enjoy the ability to roam and see things we hadn't had a chance to see when the zoo is packed. We took so many pictures all over the zoo. My wife and I booked an event with the Red Pandas. It was a excellent experience that we will never forgot. The trainer and education lady gave us a lot of knowledge about the panda's. We will booked something with the sloth's in the near future.Written February 11, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Judy LArizona28 contributionsI visited the Conservatory on Saturday, February 1. Absolutely loved all the exhibits. Each was amazingly presented with just the right amount of information. I think the Himalayan and Rain Forest were my favorites.
While browsing in the giftshop, I accidentally dropped my medical insurance card. Patricia Hughes, Visitor Experience Lead, left me a phone message, but before I even checked the message, the cashier in the gift shop heard me mention "Arizona" to a friend, and she alerted me to the fact that Security had my card. Without these two staff members being concerned about this found card, I would have had a surprise I went to the doctor and was asked for me card.
Kudos to the Franklin Park Conservatory for both their interesting exhibits, as well as customer-oriented staff.Written February 3, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a gift shop with quite a lot of stuff and you can purchase the leg lamp. There is also a house across the street that they turned into a museum and even had the dad’s car in garage.
I would suggest getting tickets online, it made it easier to go into the house.
On the other corner there was a pub ( it was on dinners and dives show). Very crowded, many people walked out as no seating. The food was good.Written January 2, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We sat up in the upper levels on the first base side to avoid the sun, and the view was fantastic!!! We could see the river from our seats, and even though we were higher, you could still see the game, no problem. The ballpark has good food as well. There were many choices around the stadium. We opted for a regular hot dog, and they were really good. The outside of the park had some great statues of former players and a pitching mound that was fun to take pictures in front of. The team store was one of the best we had ever seen. I would definitely recommend a visit to this stadium.Written January 27, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kay F114 contributionsA huge and beautiful place offering a wealth of information with each exhibit. We had not been in several years and this time we were offered a “Behind the Scenes” tour. It was an enjoyable experience to go up on the catwalk and hear the stories of the painted murals, why the windows must stay open, go into the locked presidents office, see the recent painstaking work that has uncovered years of dirt revealing ceiling murals, and much more. All shared with us by a delightful gentleman tour guide. It cost to enter the building and an extra cost for the IMAX theater but senior discounts are offered. Lots of walking as it is a huge building with many exhibit areas. Snacks and soft drinks sold. Gift shop. Pay to park but there is plenty of parking space available.Written January 7, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
