The night was beautiful and there was so much to see. This is a great quick way to get your glimpse of the monuments when you have a little time. I also got to share that my Uncle Tom Pare’ is on the Korean Memorial wall. Sally was thrilled to know his name! Joey our guide was super informative and a wealth of information. She kindly answered all our questions with passion and energy. You could visit all the memorials by yourself but it wouldn’t be the same without the history lesson and details an expert guide provides. Joey was exceptional at this. Our tour guide was very comfortable with his subject matter and provided a few jokes to keep us entertained. - curlymunroe1 contributionWe have done many bus tours all over the United States. Hands down this is one of the best tours we have ever been on. Dion made the experience for us. He is so knowledgeable and expressive about the history of George Washington and Mount Vernon. I can't say enough positive thing about it. If I could give this 10 stars I would. He was great about restaurant recommendations at the end of our tour, near our drop of location. You can tell this man truly loves his job. He offered us all blankets as the night was chilly. It was a bit difficult finding the meeting place but he called me and helped me find him on the other side of the memorial. A specific street address would be more helpful than the name of the memorial as it spans across a city block (and metro station). My advice to all is bring an extra jacket.
