- chey_baybeeHickory, NC143 contributionsI went tot the art gallery because it was nearby. it was a bit weird. the art is good, the space is weird. if you can get in for free, definitely go. if they want to charge you, i would not go.Written February 27, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - katiebarnes2017Toronto, Canada20 contributionsYabal sells beautiful woven bags, aprons, dolls, clothing etc! I found so many hand made itmes and appreciate that indigenous women are paid fair prices for their artistry. Family loved the recuerdos we brought them!Written August 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michael L1 contributionIf you are looking to learn more about the history of chocolate, to sample authentic Guatemalan chocolate recipes or to support a local business that trains and employs women in Xela, then this is the tour for you! The owners and employees of the business were some of the most hospitable people we have met in Guate, going above and beyond to accomodate our schedule and inability to read a map. The tour itself was very informative and the chocolate samples were both abundant and delicious. I highly recommended supporting this local establishment while in Xela!Written November 29, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - eringiacoDenver, CO2 contributionsKetzali Accessories embodies everything that I am looking for as a conscientious consumer. Their products are unique and well-made. During my time in Guatemala, I was seeking a few quality pieces for myself and gifts for friends, but I wanted to be sure that the artisans were receiving adequate compensation for their efforts. Ketzali had everything that I needed and they clearly respect and honor the ancient craft of weaving and dying that the Mayans have been practicing for hundreds of years. It was a bit hard to find at first, but it is truly one of the hidden gems of Xela. It's located on top of the old mall, Plazo Polanco, and it is worth the journey. I love everything that I ended up purchasing and I know that I will treasure the care and the process that each Ketzali piece so beautifully encompasses.Written June 29, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
