The guide was very knowledgeable and served as a translator for the shaman as well as taking video for me (I found out afterwards and was so grateful to have picture memory). I believe the guide sincerely wants to connect with and help others and believes in Shamanism himself. The energy of the shaman was palpably powerful. - Harriet S4 contributionsAbsolute highlight of our trip to Nepal. After having tried some delicious dishes we were so excited to learn how to make them! The ladies at Namaste cooking school are awesome- the class was so thorough and delicious. We learned how to make Masala Tea, Dahl Baht, Momos and Chamarati all of which tasted wonderful thanks to their guidance and knowledge. We are already planning on making all of these dishes back in Australia. Would highly recommend this experience. - Billie Jean P1 contributionWe chose to do the Walking Street Food Tour on our first day in Kathmandu, prior to joining an Intrepid tour. It was an excellent introduction to Nepal and we highly recommend this tour. Deepak took us to places in Kathmandu that we would never have been able to find ourselves. We really enjoyed seeing the authentic way the Nepalese prepared and served their food. Deepak ensured that the food was safe and we had no problems at all. He is a kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable guide with a good sense of humour. We met so many Nepalese people of all ages and walks of life and enjoyed a very delicious variety of food. The Walking Street Food Tour was a highlight of our trip to Nepal. Thank you Deepak. I also really enjoyed the hike through the villages afterwards, seeing the local village life.. the final destination was the oldest Hindu temple in Nepal which is very impressive.
