It is amazing. You cannot appreciate the size of the reclining Budda. Completely enclosed by a building. It is on the Grand Palace grounds.

This temple/museum is one of the most stunning structures that I've seen. It is entirely made out of wood without metal nails. This is an ongoing construction project, so everyone is required to wear a helmet. It is said that the Sanctuary was built during the tensions of the cold war and the owner wanted to enlighten people about Buddhist and Hindu values to achieve peace. We were with a tour group, so I'm not sure about the admission price, but to take advantage of the cost, focus on the intricate and beautiful carvings that highlight the Thai art of woodcarving. You can see artisans at work. Before you go, read up about the significance of some of the carvings to give your time there more value. For example, the Southern Hall is about parental love and love starts with the family. An elevator is available and there are ramps inside for the disabled. Some steps were steep. There are other activities like elephant rides and areas to lounge and have lunch. Proper attire like covered legs and shoulders is required.

Going to Phuket say no more, Soi Dog is a must visit!

The things they do here... Not only for the dogs and cats in Thailand, but throughout whole Asia and even the world can't be stressed enough.

A visit is free of charge and they solely are dependent on contubutions made by you and me.

Stunning beach BUT be careful as the sea (in October at least) could be rough and had rip tides so keep an eye on children. There were frequent red flags up while we were there although several people ignored them.

Beautiful place to see the sunset.

Only reached by longboat. Stunning beach and clear waters. No shade or umbrellas for those needing shade. It’s a must visit if you are close by

Lanai Beach is one of the top rated beaches on Samui and it lives up to it’s reputation. There are plenty of restaurants and bars all along. Water not as clear as expected but it is still rainy season!

Came to this Market on our last night in Hua Hin, and we weren't disappointed!! If shopping is your main purpose, then this isn't for you, if its all about, food, listening to some music over a few Cocktails, then I think you will enjoy this place.. Initially we did a walk around to see what was on offer, then grabbed a Cocktail each and listened to a very talented singer, who happened to be blind..
You pay money at a brother and they give you vouchers back with the equivalent $$ amount to use within the market, which is redeemable at the end of the night for any unused..
Its a great place to try different dishes, and there was an area that kept kids thoroughly entertained.. Open Friday to Sunday and definitely worth a visit if you like what the title suggests

Amazing views, definitely worth the very hard climb up the steps. Don’t loose out on this gem, but be aware that you need to be in fair shape and small children probably need to be carried.

Fun for the children. They played in the houses and huts and posed with the statues. We tied it in with a day tour which made it worth the visit. At the time it was 80baht to visit and that seems fine for an hour or fun.

After visiting ourselves as a couple, my wife and I were shocked to read many reviews on here warning people away due to "violent" and "aggressive" monkeys. The lack of understanding these people show of the terms "wild" and "monkey" is quite frankly astonishing.

The monkeys (in this case short tailed macaques) are very intelligent opportunists who have learnt over many years they can rely on tourists for easy meals/water. They also exist within a hierarchy, usually defined by size. Due to this, the monkeys will of course try and grab any food or drink you take on the hill. Again, why this would be a surprise to anyone beyond the mental age of 7 is baffling to me.

Therefore, if this is something that would upset you or is something you can't handle, I would strongly advise not visiting. We saw a tourist try and feed a monkey treats from a plastic bag individually, this of course resulted in a large macaque aggressively taking the entire bag and dishing out the contents to the younger members of the group as he saw fit, much to the tourist's surprise. Another tourist tried to feed a monkey water from a water bottle. The monkey promptly snatched this immediately and they began scrapping over the contents.

If you are a functioning adult who understands wildlife, this is a magical experience. I advise not taking anything at all the monkeys can steal (edible or not) and moving with confidence through the group. Eye contact is also seen as a challenge in the monkey world so would avoid this where possible. They are amazing animals who have truly made this place their own, and it is wonderful to see the locals move amongst them in harmony (it seems to be a popular running spot).
