It is actually very popular place for visitors (even from Bangladesh) and therefore, very crowded place, but beautiful color and interior design.

Considering the limited number of places to see here, this is a worthy visit.
But traveling to the place and specially finding the place is so difficult that I wanted to turn back many a time. But I was determined to somehow find this and I did.
It is commendable that they preserve it but a lot needs to be done to make it an attraction.
Better transport and directions to the place , better maintenance and management of the venue is absolutely essential.
Better management of places liken this would go a long a way in making Bangladesh a tourist attraction too.
And the concrete jungle country needs many more of this.
It will not only beautify the land but also will also purify the polluted air at least a tiny bit.

We had a short stop during our Dhaka city tour to this cozy spot. External view for Parliament House, or People’s House where people can’t visit as per what my guide say. New building and garden, big Bangladesh’s flag and few minutes for photo only.

Shahid or Shaheed Minar is a national monument in Dhaka, Bangladesh, established to commemorate those killed during the Bengali Language Movement demonstrations of 1952 in then East Pakistan. It represents father, mother and children. Very close to Medical university. Few minutes is enough to explore this spot.

Mostly similar to my visit last year about the same time. Bargains are at galore and should do. It has different sections for specific items. Make sure you know where to shop what items. Despite the local advice not to visit Newmarket alone (not accompanied by a local), we visited by ourselves which was quite interesting. If you know what to buy and know about pricing, you can easily find your way out there. The main change I observed this time round is that shopping has gone high up in price. Yet, you can bargain a quality t-shirt for USD 4-5.
Some items may not be available at the time of your visit. This makes it important to visit the Newmarket 2-3 times within your stay in Dhaka, if possible.

Bangladesh is a multinational religious country with extreme majority of Muslims. Sree Sree Temple is a holy place for Hindus in Bangladesh, where about 7% of people’s religion is. Had a nice visit, ring the bell, drum man, many believers do their worship with a scream sound like, I never heard before during my many visits to other temples. Light a candle.

We have to pay 10 taka to get in there. It’s a port of Dhaka where you can see big ships standing in proud, waiting for daily travelers to the south everyday. Small boats for short visit as well. Hundreds of people in action. It’s a great scenario.

Beautiful park in the middle of the city Dhaka with free entry. Nice walkways, huge trees, few chairs and wonderful lake. People come to walk, sit and pass time. Cozy area. Don’t forget to drink coconut.
