What travellers are saying
- Hailey Z1 contributionJaffa Old City is a captivating blend of history, culture, and stunning views. The area is rich with history, and there is a neat flea market as well.Written February 1, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Leora RRa'anana, Israel4 contributionsIn the middle of Tel Aviv, a capsule of humor, design, fonts, inventive artifacts and a story on creativity and overcoming life's challenges with love. One of the best tours I've been in. Enjoy!Written March 21, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JBBooks1901Chicago, IL44 contributionsThe lakefront in Chicago is probably it's best feature - and the long beach and walkway along the Mediterranean here in Tel Aviv has got that beat! Great sand, casual dining options, and friendly people make this a place to go.Written December 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - isawbonesWest Orange, NJ85 contributionsBeautiful new high tech museum of the Jewish People. Supposed to have cost 100 million dollars. You are guaranteed to learn so much. Beautiful museum store. Expect to spend at least two hours. Museum is on the campus of Tel aviv university. parking is in a garage across the street. So use Waze to get there.Written January 28, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- IrenesamuelsMaumee, OH8 contributionsI would give 4.5 stars:) the market seems to be a blend of authentic vendors, touristy shtick, and old school sellers. There is food EVERYWHERE, literally every alley your explore is more food and drinks (but that is all I Israel it seems). We felt very safe, it’s crowded but nothing overwhelming, it was a great morning (Thursday) for us in the market.Written February 27, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ldjsFort Lee, NJ873 contributionsThe most beautiful part of Tel Aviv, a maze of narrow streets lined with historic buildings, artsy galleries and stores. Many lovely body cafes snd and a number of museums and theater centers.
Lovely area also has old railroad tracks and station.
Full of character, a must see in Tel AvivWritten May 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - I visited this place🇺🇸🇬🇧🇫🇷🇳🇱🇨🇭Israel38,664 contributionsPROS
* The major art museum of Tel Aviv- a major cultural landmark
* Pleasant modern well lit building that is easy to navigate
* It houses impressionist paintings of Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh, Camille Pissarro, Edgar Degas, Auguste Rodin and Berthe Morisot
* It exhibits Jewish and Israeli artistic and cultural stuff too, including a large display of unique paintings by Marc Chagall
* There is a senior discount
* It is centrally located in Tel Aviv
* There is parking underneath
* It is not crowded
* Exhibits and projects for children
CONS
* I'm not sure about the connection of the display galleries and the flow of a complete thorough visit
* The cost-=, as compared to London and Washington, where so much is free
"I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... after I saw a review in the inflight magazine of El Al which described the exhibit commemorating the 150th anniversary of the start of the impressionist movement paintings. That exhibit encompassed a few rooms and was very well done and brightly lit and not crowded.
With the time that we had before closing, we visited some other exhibit rooms and saw the originals of some truly classic paintings of a Hewish theme (see attached photos)>
WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
Yes, especially with the 50% senior discount
WOULD "I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?
Yes- and I intend to do so for a more thorough visit

- Paul RTeaneck, NJ76 contributionsTuesday at the Nachalat Binyamina closed off street is much quieter than on a Friday. Very different artists showing off their works. Worth an hour. Plan to buy something or a few things! Great for home art, gifts for children and/or grandchildren.Written June 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BoraxoDanville, CA2,678 contributionsBest place to eat in Tel Aviv. There is a huge variety of restaurants - burgers, sushi, and of course local specialities. Plenty of seating and best of all no smoking. Even better than similar upscale food courts in Lisbon.Written January 29, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gossigerPerth, Australia35 contributionsBeautiful house in a stunning location with an amazing collection of art. Highly recommend. - Jason SMelbourne, Australia2,666 contributionsEnjoyed the area during the night, great for dining out at one of the many restaurants close by.
With the lights at night port area looks really good and has a great vibe to it, during day not so much.
Certainly one of the main things to do in Tel Aviv.Written June 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
