It was a great way to get to see a lot of the major sites, especially if you will not be in Seoul long and need to squeeze it all in. It was super convenient that they picked me up near my hotel and dropped me back off. - Annie13 contributionsKatie was an excellent tour guide who taught us about Korean history and the significance of the DMZ! We learned about the end of the Joseon Dynasty, Japanese occupation of Korea, the Korean War, and the hope for reunification.
She communicated ahead of time about any factors that might affect our trip experience, and planned ahead to ensure the best use of our time! Katie's past teaching experience shined in her storytelling and ability to share information in an organized, clear, and powerful way.

The speed at which she talked was perfect, I noticed this, especially in comparison to the other tour guides we went past who spoke so fast that I could barely decipher what they were saying. Loved the local market..much quieter than some of the big ones. Was awesome to learn about the foods, traditions, flavours and we even learnt to speak some Korean. - Heather M1 contributionWe did an excellent tour with Vincent, and I would highly recommend going with him. At first, it was a little stressful when we realized that we were leaving much earlier in the morning than we expected. (We were mostly worried about getting our 18-year-old up.) However, Vincent said that we needed to be early as you have to transfer to another bus with many tour groups. And we were able to get the first bus, and it also really helped to go early in the heat. So trust that Vincent knows what he's doing! The tunnel and later hike were interesting, but I appreciated Vincent's narration and storytelling at the DMZ the most. He was very moving talking about the war, and we watched the program on reunification that he recommended when we returned home. My husband is a Korean adoptee, and this was the first time he had returned to Korea. So the stories of people getting separted from their families particularly resonated with us.
