We had a spare day in Nairobi before a late flight and figured we would have a wander around somewhere to kill the time. After some googling and checking on here, we decided to take an Uber over and check it out, and we are so glad we did!!

The mall is huge! I am pretty sure you wouldn't be able to see the whole thing in one day. Shops varied in price, variety and level of customer service but there seemed to be places for most budgets. I do think it is more marketed to tourists and expats as we didn't see many locals shopping in there.
There is an American mall vibe to the place but this was done well.
We got some lovely things at the great pop up stores which have a mix of products from local producers. There were also some great African and Kenyan brands on show as well
All in all, we would highly recommend!

Few reasons why it didn't get full marks:
    1. There are no maps anywhere. So trying to figure out the layout and where shops/food etc were was a bit difficult
    2. Vegetarian/vegan options of food is hard to find

Worth a visit to understand more about the history of Kenya, it’s Independence and tribal artefacts. Art on display, small entry charge

The building is stunning, the setting is lovely and the contents amazing. We were guided through the house and then had a four course lunch which was delicious.

Every space is crammed with artifacts, artwork, icons and all manner of items representing different African Cultures.

This was a pure delight and excellent value for money.

Great amusement park for children and some types of adults. Difficult to find your way around once inside the mall as there are no maps to help. But this appears to be common in the malls in Kenya

Had an exchange with good rates. There’s a good Foodplus chain market and some other useful stores. But it’s only worth it if you are around

The mall is huge with multiple floors, not much signage for new people but has great entertainment establishments. we visited Strikez but seems most patrons prefer the place. Got served quickly but could do the bowling as there was a long waiting list.

I loved the ambiance from strikez. not much security personnel within the mall but is very strict by the entrance.

This is a nice mall, with places to eat and a grocery store. It is close to the animals orphanages and cultural centre, but if you go back to the city, there are huge traffic jams.

It took me some time to find my way in this multistory shopping complex. Customer care was helpful, as well as other staff at the entry points where you are checked for security.

Facilities important for a foreigner just arriving in Kenya are good. There are money changers and banks with functional ATMs, as well as a Saricom place to buy a sim card and an M-Pesa desk to ensure you can use the mobile money system in Kenya. Moreover, there is a big Carrefour supermarket on the ground level and a food court with different food outlets on the top floor.

Pedestrian access is easy. There is a large guarded car park.

The elevator has limited capacity (only three persons per lift). I ended up walking up and down the ramps quite a bit. Perhaps good for exercise!

Great mall. Sadly watch out for the unmarked road when accessing the mall
. The cops are mostly there to arrest and collect bribe and not to guide. Always ensure you're on the correct lane
    Don't be arrested!!

For collectors, art lovers or any aesthetic minded person of any age. Don't hesitate, go there! Don't miss the storage where hundreds of paintings are stacked, some real gems can be found there for your art collection. And the sculpture park is serene and beautiful.

Its an experience to have. But the vendors will nag you to the limit so need some nerves to handle. You can always visit the same market in a mall as well. But prices will be slightly higher.
If you can fight the street vendors then you get good bargains for the local, handmade stuff. Bargain should start with half of what they ask.
Keep in mind that every day of the week the market is on different locations in the city. No cards accepted. Better to carry local currency. They take US dollars as well.

Nakumatt supermarket was a major attraction here but not anymore. Carrefour is yet to fill the space left.
Lounges and food joints are many, Galitos, chicken inn, pizza inn etc and don't forget you can grab coffee ground and 1st floor.
Miniso, Bata downstairs and other shops
Banks and ATMs are also here
Security is tight right from the entrance

If you are in the area or coming back from the tea farms in the Limuru area, take a quick stop here. They have a large collection of contemporary African art, and the prices were better than what I saw last time I was in Nairobi. The area is a little rough, but the car sharing services can still pick you up or get you there from Nairobi. There is a lot of art and it could be organized better - so budget time to browse. Note - They do have online sales.
