Mike went above and beyond to help everyone in the group and gave us so much advice on what to do first and how to get the most out of the experience at the wall. Mike was super hilarious and had great english, very easy to understand and never had a problem! - Chinbin20 contributionsWe had an English speaking private tour booked with Ms Candy to the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Five stars is not enough recognition for Ms Candyy who was as good as any tour guide I have experienced anywhere in the World. Clear communications, brilliant knowledge and language skills and everything was smooth and well organised. She clearly was very attentive and willing to tailor the tour to whatever you wanted. - Amy B1 contributionLucy was amazing! She picked us up in a private car from our hotel and took us to Forbidden City and the Great Wall. She told us a lot of history as we went through the day. She even helped us negotiate better prices for souvenirs. - Nicholas HoodUpper Arlington, OH21 contributionsKeith was a good tour guide. He was kind of non-chalant and cool, and pretty well spoken all together. We discussed very boring economics in the vehicle en route to the sights. The destinations themselves are of course easy 5 stars and should never be missed when in China. Again, Keith was very easy to speak to and not so formal, making it just a bit like a tour with a friend. I tried many times to make him laugh, which was tough. He is a tough sell! But I got him at least once laughing. The car ride is a little bit long but that’s expected to see The Summer Palace and The Great Wall all in one single day. We left our printed photos from The Great Wall Photo Booth from the slide down and he carefully took photos of our photo (at my request as we had left town already) and was very helpful. The architecture including the huge wooden columns was the savior for me. I've been to other parts of the Wall before and this was just as impressive. The lunch stop at the jade factory was as expected. Mostly just a sales presentation, but the food was very good. The tour was well-organised, and Rita ensured we returned to the airport on time for our next flight. She shared fascinating history and insights throughout the tour, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Despite the extremely cold weather that day, Rita made sure we were comfortable by providing warm jackets and attending to every detail. We also had plenty of time to explore and soak in the breathtaking views. He helped us with getting tickets and buying food. We were impressed with the flexibility on timing. We had a stunning day and a highlight was the luge ride down from the beautiful Great Wall. Ruby, our host, picked us up at our hotel in Beijing and drove us for 90 minutes to the Great Wall. Ruby was at all times a very nice and attentive host. It felt from the beginning she had known us for longer than just a few minutes. The drive was very comfortable, in a spacious and clean Mercedes just for the 3 of us. At the Great Wall, Ruby led us to the entrance, bought our tickets, and left us on our own for more than 2 hours. When we were done, we messaged her again, and she waited for us at the exit to bring us back home, and we still had time to sleep for 4-5 hours at the hotel before going back to the airport. The Great Wall was an amazing experience. - Saif M7 contributionsJeffrey was an amazing guide, he is so sweet and knowledgeable about Beijing’s rich history. This was my first time in China, and I wanted the experience to be memorable for me and my wife. He kept the schedule very relaxed, didn’t rush us or make us feel like we were in a time crunch. He also told us some fun stories in past tours and historical anecdotes that added to our experience. My wife also appreciated that he assisted us with photos and recommended us little known spots to take them. Shannon, my guide gave me a vip tour, detailed information on sights and answered all my questions. We didn’t have to be in hurry, anytime I was interrested in a specific location, we could stay there longer. Super satisfied, it’s so much better to visit sights with the help of a local guide, I recommend it to all.
