I loved the tour, Angela was amazing she transported us with her knowledge of the main dynasties, her sympathy and love for her homeland made me love China even more. Delicious food and drinks, interesting eateries and we learned so much about food, the neighbourhood, and Beijing and China in general from our super knowledgable guide Garth. This was my first time in China, and I wanted the experience to be memorable for me and my wife. He kept the schedule very relaxed, didn’t rush us or make us feel like we were in a time crunch. He also told us some fun stories in past tours and historical anecdotes that added to our experience. My wife also appreciated that he assisted us with photos and recommended us little known spots to take them. He helped us with getting tickets and buying food. We were impressed with the flexibility on timing. We had a stunning day and a highlight was the luge ride down from the beautiful Great Wall. We got picked up from our hotel in the morning, and got to see the main sites around Beijing in one easy tour. The cultural attractions were stunning, and the food was incredible. We will definitely be calling Helen next time we’re in Beijing and need a professional to help us get the most out of our time. - George Raymond M. Hizon78 contributionsJerry Rong is the right person for the Summer Palace half-day tour. An affable guy, he knows the history of the place. He talked at length about the Ching dynasty, the time the place was built. He also gave us a detailed description of the Dragon Lady- the Empress Dowager Tzu Tsi, the powerful lady concubine who was the recipient of this gift- the Summer Palace. The Emperor had it built for her. In between the discussion, Jerry always manages to insert humor in all of his stories. He is also a "funny" person. Later in the tour, he also accompanied us to the steep climb of the buddhist temple, where we saw the huge statue of the Lady Buddha, Quan Ying. Kudos to Jerry!
