    Hidden gems of Beijing with a superb guide!!!
    This was an incredible tour, the best of Beijing's good in under 4 hours. Billy is a superb guide, very knowledgeable and fun, and kept everyone in the group informed and well looked after. Without giving away too much, you visit 4 hidden gems, each different from the next, savour craft beer or Beijing rice wine. Exploring Hutongs by foot was also a great experience. Loved all the flavours, this is not to miss! We already booked our next tour with the Lost Plate in Shanghai. My favourite cultural part was visiting people's home in a hutong and sharing a meal with like minded individuals. Fermented black tofu is something I wouldn't have tried on my own either. Too notch through and through!!!

    Great tour for adventurous eaters with a few familiar and many exotic flavors
    My wife and I were guided by Miko, who is a friendly and open-minded person. He is also very knowledgeable and shared a lot of cultural tidbits about what it’s like living in Beijing. The food was diverse and a good balance between safe bets and curveballs. Nearly everything was terrific, although there was a certain beverage that we probably won’t be ordering again anytime soon ;)
    The tour leaned much more heavily on the food than the walking. All the restaurants were within close proximity to one another on the same lively strip. The hutong part of the tour was brief and toward the end, but clearly the real thing. We were happy with the location, and didn’t run into any other tourists.

    If only all city food tours were this good
    This was superb. Garth was the platonic ideal of a food tour guide — smart, funny, experienced, and all over the subject matter. There were so many highlights over the three hours and not a single bad stop. And as I crawled into bed, having thoroughly over eaten, I was already plotting returning to the noodle stop, and the rice wine bar, and the donkey burger place, and the Chinese crepe stall, and the… — you get the idea. If you are in Beijing for more than 24 hrs, you should book this tour.

    Excellent food tour of the food of Beijing
    I took my second food tour with Justin Wan yesterday and it was fantastic, plus I made a few new friends, my tour mates. The tour was great and we were able to try many Beijing foods in the hutongs of Beijing. Justin was personable and welcoming and really knowledgable about the local food and eateries. We tried a variety of foods from filled buns to soups and noodles to even coriander fried chicken, local mandarins and Beijing yogurt drink. This is definately a tour you should be taking of Beijing. I highly reccommend it.

    A walk, good for the soul and stomach.
    It was a fantastic evening walk around the Hutongs in north Beijing. The guide, James, was very knowledgeable of the area and he showed and explained to us the many sights within the Hutongs. The food from the various shops we visited was tasty and sumptuous. The local beer was also good. Although not in the itinerary, he accompanied us back to the hotel. Thanks, James.

    Fun for learning culture and food
    Jim was such a great guide and the food was varied and delicious. He was happy to accommodate dietary needs or small add-ons. It was a fun and informative day in a new part of town!

    Best Experience
    Went on the Breakfast Tour this morning with Garth. Did this same tour in April 2017 - and can’t believe the difference, so much improved. We had 10 different food stops, Garth’s knowledge of not only the food and its origins but the history of the Hutong area as well was truly enlightening . An interesting variety of food, and we enjoyed the company of the other participants . Keep up the great work Garth!

    Nice evening
    We like to experience authentic food and cultural shows so booked this tour. We really enjoyed the entertainment and the food was plentiful. Afterwards, we had a driving night tour of some of the main sites. It is a bit on the expensive side, but I recommend it nonetheless.

    Great delicious food tour
    We had the pleasure of taking a food tour in old Beijing with Miko as our guide, and it was an exceptional experience. Miko was friendly, courteous, and incredibly helpful throughout the tour. His knowledge of the local cuisine and culture was an added bonus to our exploration, making it both enjoyable and informative. We had a fantastic time sampling delicious foods and learning about these dishes.

    Private Nightlife Trip to See Wonderful Acrobatic Show Enjoy Delicious Barbecue Buffet Dinner
    A very successful tour in Beijing. The tour company was professional, courteous and had one of the best customer service with knowledgeable and friendly driver and guide making it an all round fun time. We were picked up on time as scheduled. Patrick did a great job of explaining what to expect and he delivered. He also pointed out possible sites to visit that weren’t part of our tour and we appreciated the efforts as they became the highlight of the whole experience. The driver was on time for drop off and pickup and the time spent at each location was perfectly calculated. If we ever come back to China we will definitely call upon this travel agents. highly recommended

    Wow! Amazing food tour
    Wow! Amazing culinary experience. We went to different places and tasted different kind of local food. Garth was an excellent guide with enormous knowledge about the food and city history which made a very interesting tour. Highly recommend to try Beijing food and learn about the city.

    Wonderful
    My wife and I had a great experience. We were especially impressed by they way Tony took care of us. He made sure we arrived on time, took great care to get us seated with the right waitstaff and made sure we understood the menu. His white glove experience made the night wonderful.

    Excellent location, staff and food!
    I took this tour with Justin Wan recently and it was really wonderful. We tried a variety of Chinese Muslim foods and even went to a Muslim grocery. I came back the next day to the grocery and got some spices and snacks. It was great to get the initial introduction. Justin knew the best foods. From the lamb and beef meat skewers to the filled buns and soups, to a date and prune and rice dish. It was Chinese New Year also so it was nice to have a guide to lead me to these spots. I liked Justin's tour so much that I took another food tour with him a few days later. I definitely recommend this tour.

    Excellent tour guide Linda!
    Our tour guide Linda was very knowledgeable and Beijing and Chinese history, the tour was relaxed and we got to sample plenty of local snacks along the way. Linda even took the trouble to buy and drop off breakfast for us at the hotel after the tour ended, knowing that we had a full and hectic schedule the next day. Fantastic!
