- VickiLondon, UK739 contributionsVisited this attraction as part of the Peak Tram. You have to use the Peak Tram to get to the top where you access the viewing platform and see the lovely city views and take photos!Written March 16, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Traveling AmmoniteHeidelberg, Germany378 contributionsA fun park that tickled all the nostalgic notes. It's smaller than other Disney parks, but not very crowded, and while it didn't have a few of the classics (like Indiana Jones), it made up for it with rides like the Big Grizzly Mountain Rush. Mystic Manor is also a must for me, which is the HK version of Haunted Mansion.
A strange aspect of the park is that not every section opens at the same time. Like the overall park opened at 10, but Grizzly Gulch, etc., opened 30 minutes later, etc. It made it a little hard to plan ahead since no one could say which area opened at what time. I can't seem to find info on it online, so maybe it only applies to certain times of the year?
The World of Frozen is full and the lines there were the longest. FROZEN EVER AFTER was a fun boat ride similar to Pirates of the Caribbean, but skip Sliding Sleighs, because it's over an hour wait for like a 5-second ride, lol.
The Lion King show was very fun. If the other shows are like it in terms of quality, definitely check them out as well.
The parade by contrast was sad. It was also like two seconds long. I get they're trying their best, but for what Disney is earning and how much a Disneyland ticket costs, I cringe and feel insulted when they blame "budget cuts" like they will be shut down if they had normal parades.
All in all, standard park. It's fun, small, and not overly crowded, but for me doesn't quite have as much magic as the other 5 Disney parks I've visited.Written February 22, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is massive and you need to climb 268 steps to get to the top so not for the faint-hearted but worth it. You can take your time and climb the steps at your own pace (which I did). At the top there are some other small statues facing the Buddha and you can go inside the base and view some exhibits. I took the bus from the Metro under the Citygate outlet and the journey took about 35 minutes and very cheap but make sure you have the correct change as the driver does not give change or use the HK “Oyster card”. After visiting the big buffs, you can visit the monastery right beside it as well. Highly Recommended!Written March 16, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rowan HCairns, Australia1,797 contributionsThe Star Ferry is a famous public ferry that connects people between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, across Victoria Harbour.
The reason it’s famous is because it was originally founded in 1888 and has served as a transport connection since, with the boats honouring their heritage. There are two routes (Tsim Sha Tsui - Central & Tsim Sha Tsui - Wan Chai) with the cost being around 3HK dollars. Despite the creation of the MTR many still prefer to take this slower, scenic routine.
We quite enjoyed it and it isnt hard to fit it into your itinerary as an alternative transport connection.Written February 23, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter HLondon, UK11 contributionsBeautiful Chinese Garden. A haven of beauty and tranquility in a busy part of the City. This is probably my favourite place in HK. - Adventure557324870281 contributionThe experience was great, and I saw many things. However, it is best to come early since there will be a long line for the cable car to descend (at least 30 minutes). Despite this, the staff is very attentive and kind, and they even handed out food, warm water, and heating pads for free since it was winter.Written December 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The beautiful skyline and lights of the buildings at the Victoria Harbour are spectacular.

This is a good option if you are in transit and have some time to kill, as it is close to the airport. The cable car is the best way to reach Lantau Island. Easily accessible from Tung Chung MTR. Lantau Island has a lot to offer from beaches to hiking trails, nature and more. There is also the historic Tai O fishing village which is like stepping back in time. You can get around the island by bus. If you are short on time, then I would suggest doing the highlights which is the Tian Tan Buddha statue and Po Lin Monastery. Always go early if you can, as it is quieter in the morning and you can do more.Written December 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Abovetheclouds2,528 contributionsI really enjoyed the energy early on a Sunday evening. Bustling, noisy, neon lights, shopping, food and more. This is Hong Kong. A little rough around the edges but safe. I was a solo female traveller. Like stepping into the old and new. The area seemed to smell like pee everywhere! Not sure why, but worth a trip.Written November 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DrBDManchester, UK32 contributionsDefinitely worth trip. Good value . We should have booked ahead as queue at place but queue went quick. Queue bit disorganised and usual Hong Kong ‘push-and-shove’ mentality to cope with. The ride is quite short with limited views. Worth paying for sky view extra. Lots of shops and cafes at top with a square to walk around just outside. Views are spectacular and give even more sense of awe of Hong Kong estate.
