It's a mall, albeit an upscale one, so it's hard to get super excited about it. But it has A/C so during a hot afternoon, it's a good place to hang out and cool off. We didn't buy anything as much of it was out of our price range, but we did grab a good meal in one of the many restaurants here.

This mall is definitely one of a kind. I’ve never been to a mall built with a canal in it. That this mall’s design themes were Venetian inspired is actually a novel and cool idea. It makes it worth visiting just for the sake of experience it even without doing any major shopping. We visited a couple of fast food restaurants while there, and it was particularly nice to enjoy dining here with great views of the canal.

Awesome shopping experience for those who want cheap goods and a memorable time. Not for those used to shopping in luxury malls and want finer clothing. This is shopping as a contact sport. The aisles are tight, the shops are crammed and the vendors are pushy. But this is a great Asian market experience for those willing to try something different. Bought bags of low cost shirts, jackets and electronics. Traveling there is a bit challenging as it's over a mile from the nearest LST train station and the Grab cars don't like driving there since the traffic is horrible. I went twice on my recent trip and got off at the nearest LRT, walked to the market once and took a tricycle and Jeepney another time.

Very happy to have gone to Antipolo. The cathedral do s not disappoint. It is majestic, beautiful and inspiring. Its hospitality second only to its spiritual healing. With bilingual mass every hour it does Gods work receiving all comers.

It’s a shame the surrounding city is contaminated by all that ailed Manila. Traffic, noise over crowding. I would love to move Antipolo 50 miles further away from Manila

My childhood was etched in the vibrant tapestry of Makati. The familiar streets, the bustling markets, and the imposing structures formed the backdrop of my formative years. My high school years unfolded within the walls of a Makati institution, and it was during this time that I first encountered Rockwell. It wasn't the gleaming, meticulously lit complex I know today; it was something quite different, a relic of a bygone era.

Initially, Rockwell existed as a power plant, a functional yet unremarkable building. The transformation, however, was gradual and captivating. I recall seeing one building, its exterior stark and unadorned, yet subtly illuminated at night. It was a single, solitary beacon, a faint glimmer against the city's darker canvas. This initial lighting, however, was the seed of a grander vision.

Over the years, the lights multiplied. Night after night, I witnessed the slow, deliberate addition of more illumination, each new light adding another layer to the evolving cityscape. It was a mesmerizing spectacle, a silent testament to the power of incremental change. The lights weren't merely functional; they were artistic, carefully placed to highlight the architecture and create a cohesive, visually stunning effect.

The final time I visited Rockwell, I was completely overwhelmed. The once-isolated building was now part of a larger, interconnected network of light. The illumination was no longer a sparse scattering; it was a meticulously planned symphony of light, compact and breathtakingly beautiful. The lights didn't just illuminate the buildings; they illuminated the city itself, casting a warm, inviting glow over the surrounding area. The effect was both aesthetically pleasing and intensely captivating.

Rockwell's innovative lighting scheme didn't go unnoticed. Its success attracted attention, and soon, other buildings and areas in Makati, particularly in the Metropolis complex, began to emulate its unique approach. While these imitations captured the essence of Rockwell's aesthetic, they lacked the original's unique charm and sophistication. There's an undeniable magic in the pioneering spirit of Rockwell's initial lighting, a certain je ne sais quoi that sets it apart from its successors.

Rockwell's journey from a functional power plant to a beautifully illuminated landmark is more than just a physical transformation; it's a narrative of vision, innovation, and the power of incremental progress. It's a story that I, as a witness to its evolution, feel privileged to share. The memory of those initial, solitary lights, slowly growing into the dazzling spectacle it is today, remains a testament to the enduring beauty of transformation. And each time I see it, I am reminded of the power of a single, well-placed light to illuminate not just a building, but an entire city, and perhaps, even a lifetime of memories.

Mall of Asia Arena had some of the most relaxed staff I have ever seen. They were so relaxed and having their own conversation about politics they didn't notice me pour my own beer, put the money next to the till, make my hotdog and serve the customer behind me. Then they had the audacity to challenge me to as why I was crip walking to my seat without them viewing my ticket....yet the lady was watching a replay of Raffy Tulfo in Action..so she didn't really care did she.

TURN OFF THE MUSIC LOOP, PLEASE.

There is much to like about the stores inside the mall. Literally, the entire world seems to be available here. Many restaurants, shops, kiosks, activities, movies, as well as the Hypermarket and SM Store (both gigantic). You can't see it all. After you've walked the first floor, walk up to the second and start all over again :-)

Sadly, you will be bombarded by a continuous, blaring SM Mall music loop your entire time. It's not music, really - it's advertising. Non-stop, in-your-face, making-your-ears-bleed advertising. Hey, SM ... if it's really all that 'super' why do you need to repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat yourself? Shut up and let us enjoy our own experiences and thoughts.

Big mall close, connected to Holiday Inn (and other hotels) and also the MRT. Plenty of shopping and dining destinations. Unlike Greenbelt, it doesn’t have the high end stores. Shopping malls are like bubbles in the Philippine’s where you are totally safe and don’t have to face the poverty that exists.

I had a good time roaming around this shopping mall and I bought a few souvenirs . It is a nice place to understand the kind of things you get in Manila.
