If you are spending any time at all at Singapore airport, this is a perfectly nice place to spend from one to several hours. Lots of food and shopping options. There is a cool waterfall that has light shows going on most of the day and evening. I hear there is a butterfly garden, might have to check that out next time. Residents of Singapore not only have perhaps the best airline, but also perhaps the best airport.

Clarke Quay has alot to offer and a fun vibe for late afternoon drinks and dinner. It’s bright, it’s colourful, it’s busy, it’s fun and most of the bars and restaurants are more casual walk in style.

Spectacular shopping mall in the heart of Marina Bay Sands. Mostly high end shops. It is amazing to walk through, especially for the air conditioning. While we were there, they had huge dragon sculptures for Chinese New Year

Hawker Center in Chinatown. Lots of options for food, cheaper than other Hawker Centers (e.g. Lau Pa Sat). There are public bathrooms and the MRT station is right next to it.

Another big shopping complex. It is big, clean - lots of options for shopping from high end to standard stores. Lots of variety to eat at. We popped in coming and going to Sentosa as this is where the MRT line ends and the monorail option is available. I personally did not see what was so special about it buy hey, each to their own - to me a mall is a mall.

Well worth a visit if you have the time. I went on a weekday and I understand weekends are extra busy. Aisles are tight to move around on the multiple floors. But if you have the time and like a good rummage for some bargains, worth a visit. Note that the prices are very good but the prices in Bugis street market was even better.

As soon as you arrive you have the big decision. What will I eat tonight? It’s busy at night but you can find a table if you keep looking. It’s warm inside but there are fans on the ceiling. We ate here twice. Good value and very tasty meals. Worth a visit for sure.

My wife was keen to sample the original Singapore Sling cocktail. You certainly pay for the experience at $38 each. However my wife certainly had no problem enjoying & savouring it. We chose to sit outside at Raffles Terrace as the queue for The Long Bar was quite a wait and no problem being shown to a table straight away outside. Service was great and given a large bowl of monkey nuts to enjoy also. Definitely worth an explore of the hotel to take in the splendor.

Huge complex , where MICE are held . And it has served its purpose. Also houses many shops of any kind . Has many restaurants as well . Outside is the photo ops chance for the fountain of wealth.

This centre has the high end brands like Chanel on the upper levels. But if you take the escalator downstairs you have food areas and a range of much cheaper shops.
It also give you access to the MTR and lets you walk via tunnels, with shops, all the way to Suntech undercover. So heat, its got a/c nor rain will effect you.
Two pubs side by side at the outer rim are also go for food or a beer. German one a bit more expensive but more choice and you can watch the world go by.

The many satay stalls are on the exterior of Lau Pa Sat hawker center near Marina Bay and central area. Lots of people when the stalls opened around 7 pm. Each stall has representatives with menus and prices, we follow the simple rule of "pick a place with a queue, all those people can't be wrong". Also figured the turn over would make the ingredients fresher/better.

Stall #8 did not disappoint! We ordered then watched the guy on the grills hop to get the satays cooked. We were given a buzzer, ended up waiting quite a while before receiving our satays. We got chicken and beef, both were wonderful. Especially loved the peanut sauce. We picked a table away from the masses, did not particularly liked the cramped satay tables set up near by.

Overall, a great way to enjoy some cheap eats and local satays. Checked off that Singapore experience.

Taking a break from my long-time-favourite, Kitsune Ebi Udon, I patronised Maguro Yukimitsu at Takashimaya food hall for the first time. I ordered the Ume Sushi Set which is wonderfully fresh n delicious. My experience would have been perfect if the staff on duty at counter were to bother to thank all their customers for self-returning their trays after eating. But, the staff just watched without initiating to thank the gracious customers.
