Booked this tour same day based on the reviews. My wife and I were part of a great group and had an amazing tour with Alexis our guide and Eddie behind the wheel. We saw some amazing spots, got some great photos and learned so much about Panama City, the country, it's history and people. We were even fortunate enough to see a couple of ships at the Miraflores Locks after the great IMAX show at the Canal visitor's center.

Alexis was so personable and knowledgeable and Eddie gave us a great ride. We highly recommend this tour if you have a half day in Panama City.

We're so grateful we had this experience as part of our Panamanian trip. Thanks Alexis and Eddie!

Peter was great. Very knowledgeable about Panama in general and specifically the indigenous tribes of the Embera people.
We are a 75 year old couple and the walk to the waterfall was slippery at times and through water. Peter was always there to lend a helping hand as needed.
The lunch was wonderful. Fish, fried plantains, and lots of fresh fruit.
The dancing, and the music by the Village People was very nice and fun. Be sure to bring plenty of cash for the hand crafts made by the people the village. I typically do not buy anything, but I got two great gifts for our daughters

Do you want to have fun or are you just saying you want to have fun? If the former then you want to do Tomi.Tours! Tomi’s Pretour communication is exceptional! They were extremely accommodating to our cruise ships change in time and drop off location! Thank you 🙏!

Once you get into that VW “The Thing” be prepared for all frustrations to magically disappear! Ramon (& Reuben) were great tour guides giving us an amazing taste of Panama City! The pictures don’t do justice how much fun we had. We were 6, 50-something year olds and Tomi arranged (4 max in the VW) for a second car to follow the VW and also got narration all the while video and photographing the peeps in the VW. Then we had 2 rotations so all of us maximized our fun time!

Tomi Tours #FunQuotient is off the chart high! Highly recommend!

Wow! Richard was wonderful—knowledgeable, punctual and fun. The monkeys stole the show. They are hilarious, wild, friendly and it is going to be hard to beat this trip with the combo of the boat ride and their entertainment!

I spent a week in Panama and did one tour each day from Monday to Friday. This tour was my last on Friday and was the perfect way to end the week. The pickup from the hotel was on-time and Albertos is a very experienced and knowledgeable tour guide who made sure to provide of with lots of information throughout the journey. This tour was part car, part boat and part walking all at a nice pace so you didn’t feel rushed. We saw monkeys (up close), caiman, sloths, butterflies and frogs among others.

Tip: the hotel where you stop first to use the bathroom sells laminated bird, mammal, and butterfly guides for $15 each. Be sure to buy some before heading out so you’ll have a reference especially for the bird watching walk through the area near the hotel after the visit to the butterfly and frog exhibits. These also make nice souvenirs.

If I visit Panama again I will definitely look into staying at the Gamboa hotel in the reserve area to do more bird watching.

Considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Industrial World, the Panama Canal provided passengers on the Zaandam a unique opportunity to cruise between the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean. The ship traveled the full length of the canal using all three sets of locks. The highlights are Lake Gatun, the Gaillard Cut along the Continental Divide and three locks: Gatun on the Atlantic, Pedro Miguel and Miraflores on the Pacific. Along the way is Gatun Lake, once the largest manmade lake in the world. There are three bridges in the canal passage. The first is the Atlantic Bridge, the second the Centennial Bridge, and the third Bridge of the Americas. It was amazing to watch how the Pedro Miguel locks lowered us 30.5 feet whereas the Mira Flores 54 feet. Special Panama Canal pilots boarded the ship and assumed full control of it. The transit took 8+ hours. The engineering that went into the construction and operation of the canal locks is incredible. What a sea day!

We took the private tour. I don't know if it is possible, but if you can ask for Alejandro, he was an incredible guide. He knew the monkeys so well, we were the only boat that the monkeys were actually coming down to visit. Very informative about the locale and just a nice guy to hang with for the trip.

Our guide Dennis Roberts was excellent! We had advance booked our private tour for four through our travel agent. When Dennis picked us up at our hotel we discussed what we were interested in seeing and he proposed an itinerary. When one of our party expressed interest in how the Panama Canal was built, he obliged with a stop for photos at a historic steam shovel and he drove us over the Millennium Bridge for a great view of the canal from above. I need to comment here that the air conditioning in Dennis’ vehicle worked great which was welcome in the heat. We visited the Panama Canal visitor’s center at the Miraflores Locks and Dennis gave a great explanation of the lock operation. Next was a very interesting walking tour of the Panama City Old Town historic district with more informative narration from our guide. We requested an opportunity to visit a grocery store to pick up some local goods and Dennis whisked us to one immediately. We had already visited the Causeway on a different tour, so Dennis gave us a driving tour of the Panama City financial district with its impressive skyscrapers before returning us to our hotel. Our tour lasted about 5.5 hours and we were very pleased with the tour and our guide. If you are looking for an informative and professional private tour that can be customized to your specific interests (within reason of course) this is the way to go!

We had a great night with about 45 people. Good mix of men and women with a range of ages. Bars were close together and different. We are 76 and we fit in. The dancing was great and alcohol flowed. Loved the guides. People were foolish in a fun way. Near the top of our pub crawls

What an amazing experience! Sorhay was funny and extremely knowledgeable. She first took the time to find out what we liked and didn't then completely customized the experience for us. Every stop provided an opportunity to taste exceptional food that was unique. Unrushed experience that I would highly recommend.

Jennifer, our wonderful guide/driver was truly outstanding. Her knowledge of history added to our enjoyment of the day. She arrived on time to pick us up at the W Hotel, was an excellent driver and spoke English well.
