Probably one of the best things I did while in Antigua. From the pickup to drop off everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and Lorena and the chef were so nice and had good vibes all around. You also can’t beat the sunset views from this place. Highly recommend. Wish I would’ve done the street food tour as well!

This was my first activity in Antigua after flying all day and I am so glad I arrived hungry. It was so much delicious food. As a solo travelers I felt safe and was happy I had knowledgeable guides to take me to parts of Guatemala I would not have traveled in my own. I have a gluten sensitivity and they tailored the tour for me since I was solo (plenty of corn tortilla options). Also as someone who is paranoid about food Bourne illnesses I was totally fine.

Jamilla was a wonderful host. We very much enjoyed the tour. We were introduced to a number of restaurants that we might not have tried otherwise and were very happy with the selections. I am hoping for nine new restaurants to try next year!

The hike was medium to low level difficulty, but the altitude made us very short of breath. Incredible views and landscapes.out of our group of 7, three paid for the horses (about $80), and the 4 of us walked. Bring layers - we took the morning hike and it started off chilly, got very warm, then windy at the top. Marshmallow roasting was fun, our group opted to get the pizza from the guy who cooks it over the steam vent. It’s expensive ($50) but was delicious, our group split a large and it fed 8 people. Really unique experience. The horses follow you most of the way up in case you can’t do the hike. Rent the walking stick from the kids in the parking lot, near the top the lava gravel gets slippery.

This was the perfect way to spend our last night in Guatemala. I strongly encourage taking the market tour add on. We had toured several markets on our own but having a guide helps to answer so many of the “what is that” questions we had in our solo wanderings. The kitchen is on a rooftop just outside the city with stunning views of Volcan Acatenango. The cooking was fun and informative and a good choice for cooks of all abilities. Only thing I don’t recommend is the add on of Rum tasting. They choose a very low end variety. Note that did not detract at all from the experience, just suggesting you taste rum elsewhere.

My friends and I really enjoyed our tour of the macadamia and coffee farms with our guide Irwin and our driver Roberto. Bot we’re quite personable. Irwin is a wonderful teacher who cheerfully shared with us his knowledge of sustainable farming processes as well as the history of the farms and surrounding area. I would highly recommend Irwin as a tour guide.

Very good experience! Highly recommend the horses unless you are a frequent hiker in great shape. The guys at the bottom for horses tried to double charge us so we had to walk down which kinda sucked (nothing to do with this tour). Guide who walked with us up the volcano was the BEST! I wore the worst running shoes with no grip and almost plunged to my death a few times LOL. He held my hand the ENTIRE TIME! We walked back slowly and talked the whole entire time, he didn’t even mind that the group was way ahead. Thank you so much to the guide!!! As for the hotsprings, they were very relaxing. Unfortunately I think they forgot about us at the hotsprings and we were there for like 4hrs and it was pretty late by the time we got back, like 7pm. For everyone saying it’s not actual lava, no it’s not because it erupted so long ago. But it’s still crazy to roast marshmallows from a volcano!

A great experience! Our tour guide Axel was extremely knowledgeable about coffee and Guatemala as a whole. He was a very able translator allowing us to communicate with Filiberto, the coffee farmer. We got to see the whole process from the field to actually roasting and drinking the coffee at the end of the tour. Would recommend for anyone keen on learning more about coffee or local Guatemalan life.
This is run through B1 Experiences if you want to go through them directly.

Our tour was perfect. We had a two-day volcano backpacking trip booked for later in the week so we wanted a relatively easy bike tour. Old Town Outfitters set us up with the perfect outing. The ride was long enough to feel like we got some exercise but not taxing at all. The bikes and the gear were all high quality. I really enjoyed getting to test out a Kona full suspension! Our guides Francisco and Diane were super knowledgeable and engaging. They made sure we had a great time. Highly recommend the tour of the coffee plantation and Old Town Outfitters in general.

Great tour for the price. It was interesting learning about Antigua and the history behind it. We then got to visit the market and sample some fruit, hand-made tortillas, and a local dish. Overall would recommend!
