We combined our tour with 3 others, and were pleasantly surprised to see the familiar faces of other Americans we’d run into the day before. My 8-year-old loved the tour, as did we. Kotor was the most surprising of our trip. If you’re hungry, eat in Bosnia. The food is the cheapest and best. Specifically, the cevapi. We throroughly enjoyed our trip, learning about the history, all of the border crossings and knowledge from Josip. It was great! - Roderic PReading, UK70 contributionsMostar is a great day out from the Croatian coast - a full day bus tour from Dubronvik, combining the town of Mostar by the Neretva river and Kravica waterfalls a few miles away. Mostar has many tourist shops and some excellent restaurants. - Steven C1 contributionUnfortunately, due to high winds, the cruise ship I was on was unable to dock in Dubrovnik :( we were disappointed and I expected that we would lose the tour money. When contacted, without even asking, a complete refund was offered. - Piers TCrawley, UK99 contributionsWow , what an excursion ! The boat trip to the elfiki islands was nothing but magical. The staff attentive and knowledgeable. The food excellent on board and the wine was fantastic and bottomless from our experience that day! I almost contemplated going twice on our short trip to Dubrovnik. If you are coming to Croatia , this is a must have day out which takes you to three islands and lopud the largest. The tour guides explain the history of each island and you stop for a few hours at each. Many little businesses selling local wine , olives and lovely restaurants. Unfortunately, we didn't get the message that there wasn't room on the departure we'd hoped for. But all was not lost, they organised an extra twilight tour for us. What a lovely trip. We had a bit of a tour of the city sights then up to the hills overlooking Dubrovnik for sunset. The views were amazing and we had an unexpected and quite lovely glass of wine. The food was hands down the best we had our whole trip. They obviously know the best places to go. I especially loved hearing the history and traditions behind the food and wine selected. The 3hrs were so interesting and enjoyable. It was the best way to see the Old City.
