... a visit, we where there at least two hours, information about the fort is worth reading and looking around the fort is well worth it , the panoramic views from the top lets you know why the fort was built there.
Well worth to spend a couple of hours here - loads of sea life to view and appreciate - I particularly liked the reef sharks and the turtle rehab centre.

Arco dei Sergi
#5 of 28 Sights & Landmarks in Pula
Previous nights in Pula we concentrated on the Arena end of town, it is worth following the streets around to he southern end of the old town for some other hidden sights.
It serves as the gateway to a long pedestrian corridor filled with historic sites, restaurants and shops that leads to the Arena.

We walked around Pula with a map, saw all the sights, the Arena, temple, cathedral, harbour, even had a boat trip with wine and meal on board.
I was absolutely delighted to visit this historical building having viewed it from afar on a live webcam site, and watched all the comings and goings within the charming square.

very cute and informative museum, great views of pula, arena, sea, islands and an old roman theatre behind... a perfect place for evening concerts.
You can see why the Venetians chose this site for their impressive fortress , it by far the highest spot , and could easily dominate the whole City .
