What travellers are saying
- Wynn RMorgan Hill, CA2,363 contributionsA rocky beach with some sweeping views. Do not approach the wildlife and be very careful about where you walk and stay on the trailWritten December 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Empty NestersLouisville, KY460 contributionsWe visited the garden on Christmas Eve, it was a beautiful day, not too hot. There were only about a dozen other guests that day and several of the amenities like the canopy zip lines and Laguna Cafe were closed. There were several families picnicking. The garden however was lovely.
We loved the cactus areas, the sequoia trees and the Laguna area with the ducks and geese. So many lovely plants. It was a wonderful way to spend an early noon.Written December 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It has the same red-green colour motif and so it felt like it's not really unique quite honestly.
There were two carts that sell souvenirs while braving the elements though. I will give credit to that.Written December 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hbhakhRoanoke, VA2,352 contributionsWe has some time to stroll Avenida Peru while touring around Valpo. It's not far from the city and offers nice views of the harbor and beach. There are a number of hotels and nice looking restaurants in the area. It's quite a bit cleaner than downtown Valpo.Written January 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Juan SWeston, FL17 contributionsThe place has a park that is very nice with some phrases from Neruda and Mistral.

- GoGo2SlowGoDenton, TX1,457 contributionsThere were quite a few wealthy people living in Vina del Mar at the beginning of the 20th century. Gustavo Wulff was a very successful trador both in saltpeter and coal. He migrated to Chile in 1881 and made his fortune. He was from Germany and he wanted his own castle. He hired an architect to do so. It went through several additions even including a bridge between towers. When Herr Wulff died, his daughter made some additional changes after World War II. She used the same architect to do so.
The government eventually acquired the property and in 1995, it was pronounced a National Historical Monument by Chilean Law.
There is a small museum there now which probably is not worth your time.
