The lake was beautiful and there are many small shops and businesses located around the area! Unfortunately for us; we went after 5pm on Friday night and most of the shops were already closed! However the view is stunning and its a cute place to grab a bite to eat, some ice-cream and sit and enjoy the view!

While passing through we stopped to see this covered bridge. Great looking bridge with lots of boats docked not far away. Easy to get to and right off the Highway. GPS took us the whole way through the area and we discovered the next street the bridge was there & visible from the Highway. Great quick stop.

We were driving through the area and stopped in to view the metal work. Lots of fun pieces spread out over the property. Love the building, an old train station. The artist is on site with his friendly dog. Because he works with metal and some pieces are pointed, not a great place for young children to roam around. Hubby and I enjoyed his work but I especially loved the metal faces mounted on the sliding barn door that leads to his indoor gallery. Inside is a completely different form of art. Natural wood pieces mounted on the walls. Very interesting. Glad we stopped. No charge to look so we recommend taking a look if you are in the area.

Finally got to the new Quince and Quail yesterday! I loved their old location so I knew the new location would be awesome. The owners have done an amazing renovation to the building! The store focus is cabin, camp, mantiques, etc. Great selection of merchandise. I bought 3 things. The owners are great at creating and inviting space filled with interesting an unique items. Whether you're searching for antiques or just a special gift for someone, shop Quince and Quail. FYI - the owners just opened an artisan gallery diagonally across the street called Pump. Beautiful space, beautiful art, jewelry, pottery, etc. Ashland has a quaint little downtown and the owners of Quince and Quail and Pump have made this a must stop when you're traveling up or down I93. Less than 5 mins from the exit.
