- Wanderer052713947356 contributionsI am writing this reiview for people who are travelling with infants or aged parents. Reach on a weekday, around 8.00 am get the 500 rs ticket and go to the north entrace queue. You can see people already holding pooja plates standing in queue there. The priest takes this bunch with pooja plates and 500 rs vip ticket to see the swamy. Thats it. You get a prasadam and tulsi and a pic of God as complimentary. I went there on a monday at 8.15 am, it took me about 20 min to see God and i was done within an hour with walking around etc. Drive to east entrace for pics in front of the temple gopuram.Written February 5, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jay ShahAhmedabad, India2,391 contributionsWell we visited this place in the evening a little before sunset, so we got a chance to see the sunset in the sea.
It has a small beach hore compared to other Beach shore 🏖. No sanitation facilities, u have use nearly by village homes or temple trust for the same.
For shopping some shops are there to spend some time. One or two water activities available to enjoy.
The atmosphere was very good in the evening and the sunset was fabulous at that time.

- Aditi RKolkata (Calcutta), India17 contributionsVizhinjam lighthouse stands tall on the southern side of Kovalam Beach. This was our first encounter with a lighthouse and it was awesome. We were informed from the ticket counter that the elevator goes halfway to the top after which it was a steep climb. As senior citizens we thought we'll take a look from there and come back. But after we alighted from the lift, to our pleasant surprise, the viewing deck was only a few, albeit very steep, steps. The view from the deck was really worth it. Two of the three crescent shaped beaches that Kovalam beach comprises of, were clearly visible...as was the city line and the wide view of the horizon. We reached at around 11.30 in the morning and it was a pleasant day with mild breeze at the top.Written February 10, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
