Overall great tour! Professional crew and well equiped boat with toilet. We enjoyed every part of this trip, we were able to see all the best spots in Komodo National Park and do some snorkling too. The food for lunch was great! Just one minus point for fins - several times it got loose in water and I had to come back to the boat and change for another one. Than I had to swim with different size of fins on each leg. Snorkel was not in the best condition too.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my booking.

First, I tried to reschedule the trip, which they did for me. But then, they told me that they had made a mistake and that they didn’t have an available spot for me the next they.
I was given the option to cancel or reschedule the trip. I got to cancel it and got a full refund even though I it was within the first 24h of my original booking date.

Too bad, I didn’t get to do this trip with them.

We did the shared cruise by speed boat day trip (6 destinations) which we booked through our hotel. We were a bit nervous as we had booked last minute, however the company was recommended by our hotel and we are glad we decided to go ahead with the tour.

We managed to see 6 amazing destinations (Padar Island, Pink beach, Komodo national park, Taka Makasar, Manta point and turtle bay).

The tour started early (hotel pick up at 06:10) and we spent 10 hours in total, including return to hotel. We were very lucky as we only had to share the boat with one other couple and so we were four people in total.

The speedboat felt secure, safe and was very efficient going from island to island.

The crew were very friendly and helpful, generally nice people and really wanted to make sure we had fun and were comfortable at all times.

All the island's were amazing, however Taka Makasar was by far my favourite. A small beach in the middle of the ocean, turquoise water, the essence of paradise.

The icing on the cake was snorkelling in manta point and turtle bay, the captain of the boat accompanied us while we did snorkelling and help us navigate through the water. We felt safe at all times. Although it was not season to see mantas, the abundance of corals and tropical fish we managed to see was just perfect. We managed to see a huge sea turtle too !

In all, we had an amazing day, blessed with amazing weather, great company, and a profesional and attentive crew.

I recommend this company, and the day trip was perfect to see all the top destinations of Labuan Bajo.

Thanks again to everyone who made this day so special.

My family recently traveled with Travass Life for a 3-day, 2-night liveaboard on the Papiton 2, sailing around Komodo Island, and it was an amazing experience! The booking process was smooth, and the staff on board were incredibly helpful and friendly. The itinerary was well-planned, offering a perfect mix of guided tours and plenty of relaxation time on the beach. Our guide, Phionbarti, was knowledgeable and passionate, making the tours engaging and informative. The other guests on board were fun and friendly, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The boat accommodations were comfortable, and the view from our cabin window was simply stunning. The food was delicious, with breakfast being particularly healthy and tasty. Overall, Travass Life provided my family with an unforgettable trip, and I highly recommend their services. If you're considering this adventure, go for it—you won't regret it!

We booked our trip via Seek Sophie, which was relatively easy. But some mistake happened when we added 1 more person. The additional payment was lost and I had to go through many rounds of email communication to correct it. It will be an exciting trip if you are really interested in exotic creatures of this world. Otherwise, it might be a torture for you to float 3 days in the sea. The boat will be not be that big or that new as it appears on the website. In my opinion, only master bedroom was barely ok for the size and comfort. If you want to join a group, it will be more cost effective. But most group trours only leave on Friday. I had to book a private tour instead with a few friends. Food quality was better than expected but hygiene conditions on boat was not satisfactory because I found cockroaches in the room. Air condition is a must if you look at any boat. We had private bathroom which was a big plus although it was a very very small space. Don't expect too much from tour guide. He will only help taking pictures. Komodo National Park has its own tour guides. Please consider going to Rinca Island also. You can see more dragons with much fewer tourists. The park was more beautiful than Komodo Island. Pink beach was definitely worth it. But it would not appear that colorful. Lower your expectation please. I won't try speedy boats because you will waste too much time over water in a day. 3D/2N living on boat is the best choice. Definitely book a boat with aircondition and private bathroom please. In a word, everything uncomfortable was worth it when I saw the wonderful creature by God.

I booked the Sunset at Komodo tour through TripAdvisor, and I couldn’t be more pleased with everything. The itinerary included stops at Kelor Island, Manjarite Beach, Rinca Island (where the Komodo dragons are), and a sail along Kalong Island to see the flying foxes/bats during the sunset. The itinerary was executed exactly as stated. I was picked up at my hotel at 11am. We stopped to pick up guests at other hotels before making our way to the harbor . We were swiftly shown to our comfortable boat for our group of 15 passengers. The boat was large enough to accommodate everyone, and we never felt crowded. Additionally, there were two bathrooms, which included showers for washing up after the beach. Very comfortable. Our guides were informative, friendly, and always more than willing to take pictures when asked. The highlights of the tour for me were the stops at Rinca Island where we saw dragons, and watching the Flying Foxes during sunset. Simply stunning. From start to finish, professional. I was back at my hotel around 7:30pm. I would definitely recommend this tour with Explorcation. *****

Long day, busy day, but ticking a number of boxes on the bucket list. First trip to Indonesia and really wanted to see the amazing Komodo Dragons. Not disappointed, saw about 10 in the National Park. Even better for me on the day, was the snorkelling with 6 or 7 giant Manta Ray, just wish I had an underwater camera. Great memories and stunning scenery. Fantastic coral reefs, teeming with life, at several snorkelling stops that day. Great trip.

The whole experience was fantastic. Our guides Irwin and Alfred were very organised and made sure we all had the best time and were looked after throughout. The food was great, the accommodation was faultless. All the crew were great. I would highly recommend this trip.

I booked the trip with FFT back in March - it was a family with myself, my fife and our two girls aged 12 and 14. We hired a private boat.

Golda our tour guide was there to pick us up from the hotel on time at 07:30. It was short drive to the pier where we boarded our boat.

The first stop on the trip was about 1 hour away at Flores island where we took the hike up the mountain. It wasn't the easiest hike but was a lot of fun and we got to see some amazing views of the island.

The next stop was Pink Island - it's great to see the pink coral on the beach and it's a nice to spot to have a swim.

Next we headed to Komodo island which was the highlight of the trip. We met up with a guide to see the dragons in the nature reserve. We saw around 10 dragons on our hour trip through the reserve. The kids loved it and it really was an amazing experience to these relics from a different age in their natural habitat.

Next we headed to manta point and then on for some snorkeling. Unfortunately the mantas were not around but by then we were pretty tired from the days activities.

Overall we had a great day out - Golda and FFT took great care of us.

Great tour and got to see everything we wanted. Dock has a few gaps in it when walking to boat but it’s worth it for the overall trip. Snorkeling was a lot better then expected, they take you to a coral reef

We visited this cave on a private tour. The road trip took an hour and was a small winding road. We saw the occasional monkey cross the road as we made our way to the small coastal town, where we caught a small boat to the cave. The tide was out so we had to fill in time by visiting and swimming from a large sand island. The tide was still low when we arrived at the location of the cave. Our boat was parked 300 meters away from the pier, The walk to the pier in the shallow water, allowed us to wonder at the amount of large two-tone brown starfish scattered all around us. The cave itself has a steep wooden ladder at the entrance. They say it is best to arrive around 10 am as the sun is at the right height to fill the cave with light. We arrived later and the cave was partially filled with light. You need to climb down a rocky surface to the water which may be challenging for some. The experience was well worth the effort. Whilst we could swim in safety, and could see the water's edge in natural light, the back of the cave on our visit was black with no light. For us, this just added to the mystery of the cave. We loved the visit. Highly recommended as a must-do.

We had an amazing trip with Ryan from Discovery Komodo. So many fantastic sights and experiences over the course of less than 72 hours. There were a few downsides which do need attention though and hence only giving four stars as I want the company to acknowledge and action these - but I would have gone with 4.5 if possible!

On our way out of Labuan Bajo port we were exhilarated to be on a comfortable catmaran cruising smoothly out into the beautiful sea. We even spotted some dolphins shortly after leaving the port.

Our first stop was to Pulau Kelor. This is a small island with a great view back over Flores and over other nearby islands. The hike to get to the top is steep and hot. It takes a little effort as there is no steps exactly so it is a hike. The beach at the bottom is quite tacky. When we were there it was full of a couple of boat loads of twenty-somethings desperate to top-up their tans. It was a lot more pleasant when they left and we could enjoy some quiet snorkelling to see the marine life including lemon sharks. It would have been helpful to have had a little more explanation about where we were going before hand so that we could have prepared for the stop (i.e. got our snorkelling gear ready) and also in case there was the possibility of stopping somewhere else away from the crowds.

From there we progressed to Manjarite beach as another snorkelling spot and had great view of the marine life including a green turtle. The coral here as well as in other spots we stopped does appear to be struggling. There is a lot of bleaching (white and dead coral) but in the slightly deeper water the coral appears to be doing better.

The final stop on the first day was Pulau Koabe where we watched the Flying Foxes emerge from the mangroves at sunset. This was an absolutely magical experience watching the hordes of Flying Foxes (big bats) emerge in the soft light of the sunset set against the sea, islands, and other boats. This was one of my highlights of the whole trip.

The following morning we got up early to climb Pulau Padar. A longer climb than at Pulau Kelor but easier as nearly all of the climb is either on a boardwalk or steps. The view from the top is beautiful, particularly as the sun is rising. It is popular, so you are better off coming here out of peak season. The beach at the bottom is quite dirty - this is a bit of a perennial problem in Indonesia. It's a shame because the place overall is beautiful - there does need to be a bit of an awareness campaign and a significant effort from locals to clean up and dispose of their trash properly.

After returning to the boat we had a long ride to Komodo passing by various bays and some time to relax on the boat.

Komodo island and the Komodo national park was in some respects brilliant but unfortunately also a major let-down. It's not the fault of Discovery Komodo but I think the company does need to recognise what is happening in the park and take action against it. As others on Tripadvisor and other places on the internet have pointed out, there are a number of the larger dragons in Komodo which are clearly being sedated and strategically placed along the trail to cater for tourists to get ridiculous selfies. The guides have clearly been instructed to build up the suspense and feed various pieces of BS to tourists to make them think otherwise. But the state of the dragons speaks for itself - they are virtually lifeless. We saw other smaller dragons which were not sedated and the difference in behaviour was so marked. We saw some other fascinating wildlife as we walked along the trail including a wild cockatoo and a viper which was amazing. Overall though, the abuse of animals going in the park needs to be stopped and practices changed. I would urge Discovery Komodo to do what they can to influence practices on the island, potentially taking tourists elsewhere if there is another place to go on the island where this practice isn't happening.

After leaving Komodo, we went to Pink Beach on Komodo for some more diving. Here there is a lot of red coral which is what makes the beach here amongst other places slightly pink. Again, fantastic snorkelling.

And from there we went to Manta Point and Taka Makassa where we were lucky enough to see some manta rays albeit swimming quite deep and then we had an amazing encounter with three green turtles in the shallow water near Taka Makassa.

The following day we headed back to Labuan Bajo with a couple more snorkelling stops along the way at Sabolo island (probably the best snorkelling spot of the trip) and then again at Kanawa Island before getting back to Labuan Bajo.

Throughout the whole trip, the boat crew were amazing, friendly and helpful. The food produced from the tiny kitchen at the back of boat was amazing and delicious and there was always plenty of it so we were never hungry.

The cabin we had was comfortable and clean. Space was a little limited as you would expect on a boat but there was easily enough room for our stuff. There was an AC unit and a fan but we didn't really need these as long as we left at least one of the side flaps up to let in some air.

The toilet/shower is equally small but entirely usable and clean.

Ryan was brilliant throughout the trip, helpful, friendly, and informative.

    Even better if:
    1) More information about where we are going and what to expect there and what to bring / potentially with the option to avoid some stops that are already crowded
    2) Reduce plastic waste by avoiding providing small bottles of water - instead use few large bottle to refill flasks
    3) Lobby against the practices at Komodo island in sedating dragons - if possible stop taking tourists to spots where this is being done and avoid paying money that is allowing this practice to continue
    4) Develop more understanding of the environmental impacts e.g. bleaching of coral and develop a stronger eco-tourism model
