What travellers are saying
- Gartclash GirlGlasgow, UK1,062 contributionsWent here on a cloudy day and wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Loads of steps so be prepared. Loads of rest stops and benches so entirely manageable. Lots of caves with big Buddha’s. There are parts where people are not supposed to walk/ climb but they do so it’s not the safest place.
I would NOT go to the mountains if it’s been raining, its tricky in the dry will be treacherous in the wet as the marble on the stairs is slippy. Places for water etc up the top and also several shops and places to eat at the base. A worthwhile day out.,Written February 23, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. First of all, my expectations were super low. I have no interest in amusement parks and I was really only interested in the cable car and Golden Bridge. I enjoyed both, however, it was so foggy that we could see nothing for about half the cable car ride, and could only see about 3 feet in front of us all day at the park. The fog gave the place a mystical quality, but made it hard to navigate the huge park. Also, it seemed all rides were closed except one, and it was impossible to eat outside because all tables were wet due to the fog.
Therefore, if I had gone for rides I would have been disappointed. The park is really weird. It has huge buildings that are closed and/or empty. I have no idea what they are doing--is it still being built? It was so crazy! We rode the "Flying" ride which was a cheap imitation of Disney's "Soarin" rides. It malfunctioned quite a bit. It seemed to be the only ride we saw that was operating, but we had to walk a long way in the fog past many empty buildings to get to it. If you enjoy abandoned theme parks and strange haunted places, you would enjoy this park on a foggy day.
They have a German beer hall that for some inexplicable reason plays American country music? Again, everything here is rather crazy. They gave us coupons before we got on the cable car for free beer, so that was nice.
Anyway, the whole day felt like a weird dream and I was glad we went, if only just for the strangeness of it all.Written March 19, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Make sure you don’t go on a very hot day as the marvel surface gets too hot and they will drain the energy out of you. Best go on an overcast day and be careful with the monkeys. They will come out of no where and steal your drinks and food so eat and drink while walking, but still keep your eyes open for those little mischievous buggers.Written March 16, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lucia FernándezBarcelona, Spain6 contributionsA charmed masterpiece of Da Nang. It's really beautiful to see the scenery on the Camellia Peninsula! - DarkOshLagos, Nigeria585 contributionsI was totally blown over by the Ba Na Hills & Cable Car. This is a huge resort with so much to see and do. It’s extremely overwhelming. You need to spend at least 2 or 3 days here to be able to experience the whole place properly.
Starting with Cable Car, there are several lines and it was absolutely worth the trip here. There are so many rides and sea or restaurants to eat at. It’s truly worth the experience.Written March 15, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dianedinkyDunfermline, UK2,509 contributionsThe museum looks quite small from the outside but there are actually lots of exhibits inside, and they are clearly labelled in Vietnamese & English.
We went around with a guide and was interesting to hear more of the history and stories of the time - and to explain the fixation with adding nipples to so many sculptures!
I was amused by how all the many animal sculptures were so very well done (elephants, monkeys, horses playing polo, water buffalo etc) but the poor lion always had a slightly comical effect. I know this is just how lions were seen in these times with the emphasis on curly hair for a mane but weren't in the least bit fierce looking!
I know I should appreciate the art more but it tickled me as I wandered round.
A very enjoyable visit - but no gift shop so they miss a trick there.Written April 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
