This park is not often visited because you won't spot many animals on game drives, and it isn't on the main circuit for tourism. But it's easy to get to from Bulawayo and has spectacular scenery, with hills, rock faces, and boulders that are gorgeous all day and with the sun setting. There are also 13,000-year-old cave paintings and a chance to see rhinos in the wild (even on foot). Very peaceful, pretty, and photogenic.

It was a beautiful enlightening experience rich in history and culture. The tour guide is part of the history being told, which makes it even more fascinating.

Interesting early history of Great Zim and this should be visited in conjunction with Great Zimbabwe ruins to the east. We used Bonaisa with Lesly coordinating and driving.

This museum is far larger than we anticipated and has so much history about the region - we wish we had more time but they kicked us out. You need at least a few hours if you actually want to read into all the stuff they have here. The live snake exhibit is lovely as well.

Interestingly laid out with nice mix of older colonial structures. A good base for excursions north and west ie. Khami, Hwange, Matobo / Matopos & Great Zimbabwe. Yes, a MUST visit and one that further emphasizes Zimbabwe as an extraordinarily beautiful nation. Consider using Bonisa Excursions.

We were fortunate that we arrive in time to see the lions being fed and the verocity of the magnificent animals became apparent. One must remember that this is a rehabilitation sanctuary and animals that have damaged wings or legs don't need such big spaces. The animals looked well fed and cared for.

I really enjoyed the singing, homily, traditions and friendliness at Mass this morning. Sunday masses are on a Sunday 8.30am, 10am and 6pm. There is confession before the 8.30am mass which starts at 7.45am - 8.30am.

We spent 90 minutes walking through the Dams' Park. Having not brought any food as we expected the restaurant to be open, we were advised at the gate that it was under renovation for the next couple of months. So if you are keen on eating here (which would be a lovely spot) I'd recommend bringing something. You can walk from the dams side across to the canoeing, zip line and trampoline section. What was really sad was the level of water in the dams. The dam in the main photo is completely empty and the canoeing one would only be half full at the most. This can't be helped, it's just the current drought situation facing the majority of the country. The amphitheatre was well set up, so would be good for schools or even a random family talent show.

We only visited Nalatale on our way from Bulawayo to Harare. Turn at the Shangani road sign down the dirt road. Upon crossing the railroad tracks turn left. You'll see a sign at the turn which says "Nalatale Ruins 26 Km." This is correct. You will go down an isolated dirt road and after about 20km there will be another sign that links to the road toward the Danoumbe ruins. Keep going and then you see the last sign which tells you to turn left and the site is 2 km down that road. There is another sign at the site. The ruins are at the top of the hill, about a ten minute walk. There is only one structure but it has an impressive wall face with all five of the wall decorations - herring bone, checkered, band, chevron, and cord. The best stone wall in Zim! Great views from the top too! At the end of your visit, if you're heading to Gweru next keep going down that dirt road and you'll link up to the main road in about 20 km.

A very good birding area with a lot of LBJ's and other interesting species, summer migrants as well. It's a delight for someone who's a birder though it can be a bit disappointing for someone who's looking forward to seeing animals. We managed to hike 10km along the trails for 3 hours, yet all we could see was spoors!
Perhaps it wasn't the ideal time to visit.

My wife and I scheduled two different massages at the same time, and those both were great. What stood out even more was the customer service. They were very patient and responsive with our scheduling, questions, and then when we got lost on the way they. The owner even hurried out to pick us up (since they offer transport within 5 KM). It was a nice, quiet place off of a main road in Bulawayo, and we'd definitely recommend it for those who want spa services.
