A great Matopos experience, away from the very touristic Matopos park center. I had a guide, Thembi, for me alone that day. Thembi is a very knowledge guide, full of experiences he will tell you with pleasure if you ask. He knows a lot about the region and it's "secret" ;) It's worth the experience.

we were at the ztif fair in bulawayo and meet blessing from bushmen tours.Wow, what a day we had!
Blessing picked us up at the bulawayo club and drove us to the matopo park. Together with few rangers, we all went deep into the bush and we spotted 5 rhinos..we came as close as 15 m...what an unforgettable experience..
Blessing is the perfect guide, very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does.
We highly recommend Bushmen Tours! Thank you blessing

Charlie and the team made our safari in Vic Falls, Hwange and Motobo an unforgettable experience! as a born and raised Zimbabwean he will tell you all the stories and the details of what you see and experience, the history, the wild life, local communities, ancient caves. He is a great chap! :-) going into the safari as a plant eater (vegan) I was not sure what to expect but Charlie and the team made sure we were well taken care of and had good veggies and food options just like the rest.... and some zambeze beers with sprite to refresh our throats at all times. I will be coming back!!

We were booked on the two night camping safari. But such is the thoroughness of Charles Taylor, he offered us Lodge accommodation as he had ascertained that there was a group of 50 other tourists camping at the same time and he thought it could get too rowdy.
We had very comfortable accommodation, and the food was fantastically prepared by Nelson.
The trips into Matobo were fantastic. We went Rhino tracking on foot, and this is definitely a highlight. Coming within 30 meters of Rhino and having them sense you and eye you off is exhilarating! We visited traditional villages and communities and saw how they really live, not a staged tourist village.
We hiked up to see some incredible rock paintings in a cave and had a fantastic sundowner at Rhodes grave.
On our last day, when the tour was scheduled to finish, Charles found out we had an afternoon to kill, so he went out of his way to show us around the Bulawayo Club and a visit to the railway museum, which is very interesting.
I thoroughly recommend this tour and the services of Charles Taylor.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to the Great Zimbabwe with This and That Safaris. Along the way, Thembi (my guide) pointed out the first road built in Zimbabwe, the gold mining towns, the Chinese factories, etc. Although the drive was a long one, this added a lot of interest to the journey.

At the Great Zimbabwe site, Thembi handed me over to one of the official guides who was very knowledgeable about the archaeology and history as well as the environment. I just wish that we had more time at the museum, however.

I should also add that Thembi went the extra mile to sort out the payment for the trip, as it seems that his bank had problems with dealing with the international transaction.

Aside from the payment issue, there are a couple of other areas for improvement, however:
    • Thembi should have sorted out the drinks and lunch BEFORE the trip commenced rather than after he picked me up; this added to the length of the journey.
    • As stated above I wish that we could have spent more time in the museum; this could have happened had we not spent time sorting out the drinks and lunch during the trip.

On the whole, however, the trip was great.

I booked the day before and Lesli made time for me. We visited the Matopo National Park and saw some animals, however the sun was very hot that day so there weren't that many animals. Nonetheless, the experience was still great! Leslie took me to a couple of caves where we got to see 3000-6000 year old cave paintings and he told me about their story and what scientists assume. Then, we visited a crazy natural stone formation where Cecil Rhodes is buried. And we had a nice view over the national park.
During the complete trip, Leslie and I had interesting, reflected and very open conversations e.g. about the history of Zimbabwe.
I can only recommend him since he is a knowledgeable and well-prepared guide who does a great job.

A superbly organized and reasonably priced tour with excellent guide Bingani Dube. First, efficient airport pickup, next day tour of local village, Khami ruins. Efficient bus booking to Victoria Falls. And to top it all off, a surprise...sharing a beer in a local bar with local people.Highly recommended!

From start to finish Lesley was a true professional and would highly recommend any of the services he offers. Our family did a return transfer from Bulawayo to the falls and it all went seamlessly. From the very beginning at pick up through to drop off Lesley made us feel welcome. He is a very safe driver, was always polite, courteous and was very thoughtful to the needs of our elderly parents. Nothing was too much for him.
Cant wait to use you again!

I had only a short time to stay in Zimbabwe, and one of the highest things on my to-do list was to visit the Great Zimbabwe. This tour turned out to be the perfect choice. Before arriving in Zimbabwe I was in contact with my guide, Leslie. He was very friendly and helpful as I prepared to arrive, even going so far as to give me an update on the forecast of cold weather for the days that I'd be there so that I would know to bring a jacket with me.
My guide met me at the airport on arrival the day before the tour was scheduled to begin. The plan was to drop me off at a hotel that I had booked and to meet me first thing in the morning to start the tour. There was an issue with my reservation at the hotel (completely unrelated to the tour company), and my guide was very good about helping me find another place to stay for the night. I appreciated the help very much.
The next day we drove from Harare to the Great Zimbabwe. It was a pleasant drive through the countryside. We arrived at Masvingo in the evening and checked into the accommodation arranged by the tour company. The place was very nice, near the stone monument and with a lovely view of Lake Kyle. The next morning was the tour of the Great Zimbabwe. The guide was interesting and informative, and I enjoyed learning so much about the history of the stone structures and the people who built them. I would recommend this tour to anyone that is planning a visit to Zimbabwe., and Bonisa Excursions would definitely be the company to go with.

The Natural History Museum should be deleted from the tour. At the US $10 admission price, it simply isn't worth it. They should have paid me to go there! The balance of the tour is okay. The guide is very good, very knowledgeable. The Railway Museum is a highlight of the tour. Also, the Nesbitt Castle is excellent, and it's a nice thing to enjoy at the end of the tour. In conclusion, the guide is very good, and the tour is okay, but the Natural History Museum is a rip off, and I wouldn't recommend going there at all.
