As soon as I booked on Viator, I received a text from Luis, the owner, who welcomed me and sent me pictures of maps where to go when we got off the cruise ship. When we got there, Fausto and Luis were waiting. Fausto was friendly and knowledgeable, and took me to a grocery store after I mentioned I like to visit them when I travel. We also were given the option to stop for lunch do we wanted. It was a great tour, and very reasonably priced, especially for a private tour. My favorite was getting to hold Flash the sloth and interacting with the monkeys. Also liked the wonderful market with the chocolate and great little local shops. - Michael MPrinceville3 contributionsOur driver, Simon, was great. He got our group of 8 out of the port area and to see the Sloths and Monkeys quickly. Letting us be the first group to see them. This afforded longer time with the animals. We had a blast and the animals were active. We went to the rum factory and chocolate factory. Overall one of the best tours ever. - Companion30697021264South Padre Island, TX2 contributionsWe had the good fortune to hire this family owned company. Christian and his wife Darby are extremely knowledgably and their pride in their island is very evident in their tours. We were on a cruise and were only there for a short time. We wanted a private tour of the island and booking our trip online , not with the cruise line before arriving was extremely easy. We told them what we wanted on our tour and they delivered exactly what we asked for. Another bonus was we didn't have to pay until we arrived at the island.
Christian meet us at the cruise port and the journey began. He is a wonderful guide, full of knowledge about the island and shared many stories with us. The time fly by and before we knew it our time was up.
They are a wonderful couple and I would highly recommend them. They take the time to listen to what you would like to do while on the island and they do their absolute best to deliver. He gave us extra time and special attention and took us wherever we wanted to go after the tour for no charge. He even recommended things and took us there. 10 out of 10 stars! Highly recommend this tour! - OnAir168923303381 contributionThis was hands-down the best excursion of our western Caribbean cruise (5/5). My husband and I had an incredible time! Our guide, Treca, was fantastic at customizing the day to suit us perfectly. We got to do so much—jungle ziplining, visiting a sloth and monkey sanctuary, horseback riding, snorkeling, spending time at the beach, and snapping a picture at the iconic Roatan landmark. When my husband spotted a food vendor, Treca even helped us pick up a fried fish meal to try something local.
The snorkeling guide (we regret not catching his name, but he was from Nicaragua) was outstanding! He showed us two large starfish, schools of fish, two big tunas, and even a snake eel around the coral reef.
