- Mnosh27Mumbai, India226 contributionsBeautiful gardens around. But not much to see inside. There should be a better variety of artifacts. - Saurabh GMumbai, India24 contributionsCalm and quite at gandaki river bank.you feel a divine power at that place. Godess is showering power on devotees. Good arrangements by trust. - Catherine SRoyal Tunbridge Wells, UK27 contributionsExtremely calm place. We were able to wander around the Mother House in complete peace and quiet. There is a great little one-room museum all about Mother Teresa's life, plus you can look into her room. You can sit and pray or just reflect for as long as you like, on a few wooden benches just beside her tomb. What really surprised us was that at no point were we asked for donations. A calm and reverent place.Written December 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jason SMelbourne, Australia2,666 contributionsWonderful bridge to visit giving the engineering feat in the design and construction of the Howrah bridge connecting both cities across the river.
You can get a good view of the bridge from the Flower Market, turn right and you will see a gap that will lead you to the river.
Walking across the bridge is also fun and worth doing, the amount of people and cars crossing the bridge is unbelievable.Written December 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While it’s now very crowded and over trafficked, it still has a number of excellent restaurants and eateries.
Crossing it, however, is another thing. Vehicles don’t pause for pedestrians and there are few walk signals. On some days, none.
If you cross this street in peak hour unscathed, you’ve won.Written December 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SydnTooliSydney764 contributionsThis has special memories for ex residents, perhaps too crowded for tourists. It used to have everything and was extremely affordable. Food, cakes, coffee shops, an ice cream parlour, clothes, shoes, flowers, even fresh meat.
It’s a shadow of its previous life and much more crowded.
