Beautiful, non commercial gem! Only a handful of people there, staff was very friendly! I loved that it was a family place!

Absolutely stunning church in the middle of Grecia. We didn’t have a change to go inside as there was a mass going on. It very special to the locals ( my cousin lives there and says it’s very special )

Where do you start? First, its huge, the selection of fresh fruits and vegetables unmatched in any grocery store, and the prices and quality make you want to take everything there home. The best bagels I've found in Costa Rica can be found here in the feria (but you'd better get here on Friday afternoon, because there are none to be had by Saturday morning). And everything is beyond fresh. The only problem is that I always buy more than I can possibly eat. Oh well - my compost pile benefits, which does also benefit me in the long run.

The metal church is currently being repainted. Need completion. It is still open for mass. Unfortunately no English speaking Mass.

The forest itself was spectacular. Hanging off a cliff for two hours to get there, not so much. A worthwhile visit for those with a strong stomach and four wheel drive:)

The views are unbelievable from there! The air was so fresh, the cabin I stayed in was very comfortable, and I slept very well here. If you need a little quiet just to get away I highly recommend the cozy cabin.

Went there specifically for a hair supply store, which didn't open until 11 am, not much going on even though it was Friday only a few stores open at that hour. There was a small movie theater and lots of shops. I would go back.

The park on the main town square in the farm town of Grecia, mostly off the beaten path of tourists who flock to the beaches, national parks, adventure tours. This small, but pleasant park has some lovely features. See the pics. Love the gentle poetic philosophy in these park signs urging folks to pick up after their four legged companions. There is an unusual 19th century metal church on one side. Off another side is a large mural depicting the rural farm life of this area (see pics). The park gives you a good sense of a small, farming town typical of several Central American countries.

When I was looking into planing and booking our trip to Costa Rica, I quickly became overwhelmed with what places to see and activities to do. I found Travel Tropical Tours via Facebook and Sarah was able to take our budget and requests and personalize our adventure within hours! Sarah was available 24/7 to answer any questions we had and made the booking process as easy as possible! We flew into SJO and spent time in La Fortuna and Manuel Antonio during our 6 day adventure. We were scheduled for 4 excursions but Sarah was able to offer an additional night tour while we were there, which we jumped at the opportunity to do! Our certified guide, Jeanfred and driver, Miguel were wonderful! They answered all our questions, had an amazing ability to spot wildlife from the road during our journey and made us feel at home. My only regret is that we didn’t get to stay longer and do more! Thank you to Sarah, Jeanfred and Miguel for showing us your beautiful country!

My family and I visited Tio Jose’s Coffee Tour and it was absolutely phenomenal. Jose and his family were incredibly hospitable and he did a great job explaining how their coffee is farmed and processed to being a final product. We were able to try different types of coffee, walked through the farm and learned about the cultivation process. We also did the chocolate making which was also very fun and the chocolate was fantastic and fresh. We finally tried the sugar cane juice which was refreshing and was a good end to all of our festivities. Overall my family and I had an incredible experience that was a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica, would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to try authentic Costa Rican coffee.
