Swim in a waterfall with sandy beaches, see wildlife with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, and stretch your legs with a hike to another stunningly beautiful blue waterfall.
Make sure you bring your bravest pair of shoes!! This experience gives you just the right amount of danger, where you feel the fear pulsating in your ankles, but the beautiful scenery will motivate you to press on. You will not regret the zipline or tubing at all.
Beautiful tour. Our tour guides name was Felix. Such a kind and gentle young man. We had so much fun! We got lost at first trying to find the place. And they came and picked us up! 10/10
Not going to lie, I booked this on a whim. No clue what I was signing up for but I’m so glad I did it. The water fall and hot springs were my favorite parts. I would go back on my own to both. I could spend all day in the hot spring. The hike was also a lot of fun. It was very easy and we saw a lot of cool plants and trees. I highly highly recommend it, not too long of a day either!
I was worried about such a long tour day with so much time in the van, but it was worth it to see beautiful Nicaragua! We were escorted through the boarder and always felt safe with our guide. We got to see so much more than I expected - not just a hop across the border for a passport stamp. The boat tour and views of lake Nicaragua were stunning, as were views from Mirador de Caterina and the walk up to Cristo de la Misericordia. Grenada and the chocolate factory was a little underwhelming in comparison and would have loved to tour the volcano instead (which was closed for safety reasons), but we were able to buy some coffee souvenirs there. The WiFi in the van on Costa Rica side was great but we switched to a different van on the Nicaragua side which didn’t have WiFi and password posted. The van wasn’t overcrowded, but seats did become uncomfortable for such a long day of sitting.
Our family of 8 adults loved this adventure. The zipline was a blast and the Hanging bridges were so beautiful. It was a rainy afternoon for the bridges, but nothing a poncho couldn't handle. I do suggest a guide, which if you book with Native's Way, you will receive. We were shuttled from Tamarindo and it was 3 hours, but the guide broke it up nicely on the way with a stop at a local bakery for cafe and sweets. The ride home was bit lengthy due to traffic on Liberia which added 2 hours to the total return. Pura Vida!
For our last day in Costa Rica we decided to have a full day out to see the Miravalles Volcano and springs as well as tour the waterfalls (with an additional stop to see the Llanos del Cortez waterfalls on the way). A well organised tour with decent lunch and mix of sightseeing and spa activities at the volcano itself.
Our 6 year old enjoyed the day especially the short hike to the Miravalles waterfalls. Andreas was our guide and looked after us for the day.
We loved this excursion! Our driver was very knowledgeable about the area. We couldn’t believe how close we got to the crocodiles. It was a bit scary but thrilling! Highly recommend!
We had an amazing time inboard the Sea Bird with Pecho and the crew! Super fun time for our family of five and ages 17 to 75! Pecho was a great guide, the weather was perfect and the guacamole was the best ever.
My girlfriend and I went on the tour and it was spectacular. they spent almost 3 hours, even when we were the only people on the tour, explaining cocoa and coffee roasting to us. She speaks very little English and when I told them this, they talked slower and in words that she could understand which a lot of people don't get. I highly recommend it when in Playa del Coco. We learned a lot, tried a lot of different samples and everything was delicious. Also, there was no hard sell on their products which I appreciate very much. We had Marcos and Rosbin and I can't compliment them enough. THANK YOU!
Taking a tour to Nicaragua from Playas del Coco in Costa Rica is a great way to explore another beautiful country in Central America. These tours often include transportation, border crossing assistance, and guided activities.
We had a great day with Memo (Guillermo). The chocolate plantation is most interesting and we had a lot of fun making our own chocolates. Lunch at the little Soda in Bijagua was excellent. We highly recommend Costours.
This tour was awesome! Milo the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us extra time and allowed us to make stops to take pictures anytime we wanted to. The river crossings we need were really cool. Thumbs up all the way. I would totally recommend.
Great tour guides who went out of their way to make the day extremely enjoyable! The waterfall and the springs were wonderful and the walking to and from was easy and in lovely foresty areas.
Our grandchildren, ages 8, 9, 10, & 11, loved seeing a host of birds, monkeys, and crocs. So fun! Lunch and refreshments were great, too, in a beautiful and interesting river retreat. Wonderful guides and drivers.
